-----. Although I did have to scrap SAI on 23 Sept for Maya Grill (Mom coming in and she won't have a park ticket for that day). Rebooked SAI for lunch on 30 Sept, which is the day that I aim for Hacienda for dinner. At least it'll be a good "side-by-side" comparison
. (And, with the amount that I eat at two of the little Mexican restaurants in town, 2 meals in the same day is not going to be an issue at all - - -
I love San Angel and we will be watching Illuminations from somewhere else but we just love being inside the Mexico Pavilion, it is surreal with the volcano and the river and the all the time dusk "magic Hour" I find it very magical! And we haven't been there since they redid the little river ride, I am sure it is much better now with Donald and the South American gang!
If your main objective is to watch illuminations at dinner though, San Angel (being inside) won't make you happy... We live in Texas and find the food is pretty good Mexican food, most Americans don't like authentic Mexican food, they want what we call "Tex-Mex"
