I am thankful for all soap left in the showers - that much less I have to pack. I like Irish Spring, just in case you are so inclined to leave FWguy some.
As like anything, they can't stay on top of them all the time. When we arrived in June this year I had gone into the comfort station at the 100/200 loop and there were a couple of shower stalls where it was quite obvious that some kids were having "fun' with toilet paper.
I asked about the bathrooms too before our visit and everyone went on and on about them. I have to tell you...I didn't think they were worth the hype {ducking}. They were mostly clean, but nothing spectacular. I've seen other bathrooms/laundry areas while camping that were just as nice or even nicer. While we were there someone had used a shower as a toilet and it was there for at least 6 hours. I believe there were 3 showers in our comfort station and 1 of them was out of order the whole week we were there. (The one between the 1600 and 1800 loop). I am a frequent camper and I realize that no one can keep up with bathrooms ALL of the time. I was just expecting more from the comfort stations after reading the board. Maybe some are kept up more than others ??
I have stayed at Ft Wilderness and always found the bathrooms to be very clean, except for the last time i stayed there. for some reason, someone decided to have a bowel movement on the floor in one of the showers. maybe they were sick or something, but they should have cleaned it up after themselves or at least alerted someone who works there. it was gross.
