Hi. I am running Wine and Dine half in November. For the photo opportunities during the race (like with characters), can we use PhotoPass or is it different photographers so we need our own camera. I am concerned with my lack of camera quality with my phone... especially because it is a late night race.

Thanks

The race has an official photographer for the race. Brightroom has been the company over the last couple years, but I see the marathonfoto just shot DL. It is not tied into photopass. The company has photographers stationed with most character stops, but not all.

Your best bet is to have your own camera. Lighting is not all that tricky since the photo ops are lit. Hand your camera to the character handler and they will snap your photo. Concurrently, the race photographer will also snap a shot. The race package can be pricy if you do not appear in many shots, but can serve as a backup in case your hand held goes on the fritz.

They merged-

From Brightroom.com: "Brightroom is excited to announce our merger with MarathonFoto® and Event Photography Group!!"

The WDW Marathon pictures from January were under Marathonfoto too.
