I am planning on preodering a Photopass package, I heard if you preorder it that you receive your photopass in the mail. Is that true? I want everyone in the group to be able to walk their seperate ways when they want but be able to have all those pictures put on together for the package at the end of the trip. I know when you get your picture taken you get a photopass and if you get your picture taken elsewhere but forget your photopass they will just give you a new one and then you can put both photopass pictures together in the end to have the pictures printed but I just wasn't sure if there were more strict rules when it came to preordering.

You get a voucher for a PP+ card in the mail. You have to redeem it in a park. Any pictures taken on a regular PP card can be added, but for the ride photos you need the PP+ card.

So to redeem the voucher in the park do I just give the voucher to a photographer or do I have to take it somewhere in particular?

You have to go to the Photo Supply in DL at the end of Main St or whatever the photo place is called in DCA. It's at the start of BVS on the right, just past the lockers.

Ok thank you! I guess that will have to be my first stop when getting into Disneyland then. From what I remember that place can get pretty busy during the day. Or maybe I'm thinking of the coffee shop :/

Also is your first stop is a character meal they can redeem it there for you.

Do you have to give the normal PP card to them when you redeem your PP+ card? My sister and her husband will be there same time as my family, but we won't always be together. Would be good if they could carry a separate card and then combine them later.

I've heard that if you just register the regular PP card to the same online account at the PP+ it will work. But when we did it, we went to the Photo Supply and had them do it for us.

So at the end of my trip I will just take my PP+ and all PP cards that my group collected during the trip and combine them online for my preordered cd?
Right? :D
Because once you put all the pictures online you can edit them and then you get the CD mailed to you. I've obviously never done this, it would be cool to fully know what to do before the time comes D:

If you pre-order PP+, they will mail you a voucher (a piece of paper in a DVD case) that you'll take with you to DLR to exchange for the PP+ card and lanyard. You can combine multiple PP cards (the ones that you can get from the photographers) with your PP+ card in your online Photopass account. After your trip is finished, you can edit your photos online and then redeem the voucher for the CD/DVD of the photos.

You get a lanyard too! Cool, Im guessing thats to better hold your PP+ pass. Probably something you only get if you redeem your PP+ card at the photo supply shop and not at a character meal.

The lanyard isn't anything special; it's just a thin black cord that has a clip that holds the PP+ card (which has a hole in the top for the clip to clip on to). I didn't redeem mine at a character meal, but I would guess you'll get the same thing regardless of where you redeem your voucher.

I think I read once that if you write down the number for ride photos, you can later get that added to a PP+ as well. That true? Thanks for all the good info! :)

Do you happen to know what rides accept the PP+? I wonder why only some of them use it but not others. :/
Any of the attractions with a ride photo accept PP+, except Buzz Lightyear (you can email your ride photo to yourself for free). The attractions with ride photos are:
  • California Screamin' (DCA)
  • Space Mountain (DL)
  • Splash Mountain (DL)
  • Radiator Springs Racers (DCA)
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DCA)

Yes, if you write down the ride photo number you can take the PP+ card to that attraction ride photo later and have them add the photo to your PP+. This works great if your family splits up. The only major drawback is you have to go back to that attraction to have the photo added. That being said, it worked fine for my family.

Oh ok I read that wrong online. It said select attractions and I thought it meant only a select few of the attractions that take pictures. But it meant only the attractions that take pictures. gotcha
