In the past I've only ordered pics from the photopass and always scrapbooked our trip by hand. This year I thought I would make a digital scrapbook online. I'm a big scrapbooker but am very behind on my scrapbooking so I thought it would be easier this way. I've seen a digital scrapbook my friend completed from snapfish and it was good. I was wondering if the photopass would be better? I haven't scrapbooked online before. I usually use Creative memories and know they have an online program too. Is there an advantage to using disney's photopass? Is it hard to do? Can you download your personal pictures and use them in the book?:confused3

Yes you can use your own personal pictures and not it's not hard, but personally I don't recommend it. For the price they charge you for that book, it's just crazy. The ONLY benefit is that you have the Disney them stuff, but you can use a lot of programs and make something just as nice. It's really no different than your friends Snapfish book other than the Disney themed stuff... and it's so limited on how many pics can go on a page or how much text you can put in.

First, if you really want to get into it, you can use Artscow.com, they allow you to make your own pages, a lot like using a photo program. You can upload your own backgrounds, frames, embellishments, all that stuff. You can find free things all over the net to download and then upload to the site to make your pages... tons of Disney stuff. Although Disboards has closed this to new posts, you can go here

I was in your shoes a year ago, feel free to PM me with questions if you want to get into this kind of thing.

But you can also make scrapbooks like your friend did, through Shutterfly (my top recommendation after artscow), Snapfish, Walmart, there are tons of sites. I've ordered from many and all of them are about the same quality, (winkflash aside, theirs is AWFUL) and for so much cheaper. As I recall the one I did get from Disney was $80 for 20 pages!!! :faint: Cheaper than buying the CD, and at the time this was what was needed, but I'd never do it again!

Anyway, I hope I've helped without confusing! Like I said I was there a year ago and I know how I felt, what I needed and couldn't get the info anywhere, so I'm trying to give you what I needed I guess! :goodvibes

I don't care for the Photopass books.

I made an 80 page book at blurb.com for less than $50, including shipping. The quality was awesome!

Thank you so much. It was most helpful. Our trip next trip is in March 2010. I plan to start doing some "research" after the holidays. I knew I could count on the dis to point me in the right direction.:lovestruc

I have the photopass pictures and will probably use them plus my own photos to make my own book with shutterfly for half the price as a photopass book.
