Ok, I know I've read threads in the past but now that our trip is almost here I'm in panic mode.
Where do you purchase photopass?
Where are photopass photographers located?
How do you get to see your photos?
Are you able to bring your CD home with you, or do you have to order it?
Any other valuable info you can share?

If you want the Photopass+ (which includes digital copies of the ride photos and the actual physical copies of photos at a character meal at no additional charge), you can preorder it online here
http://www.disneyphotopass.com/dlrphotopassplus.aspx for $69.95 + shipping. They only recommend doing this if you have at least 14 days before your trip. If you wait until you're at the park to buy the Photopass+, then you'll buy it at the Photo store (in either park) for $99.95. With the preorder option, you get a voucher to redeem for the Photopass+ card and a second voucher to order the CD with all your photos online once you get back home.
If you aren't interested in the + benefits, then you don't have to purchase anything in advance. Just go, get pictures taken with the Photopass Photographers and take a look at them either online or in the Photo store (at either park). If you decide you want to buy the CD, you have a few options:
- Buy the Gallery CD/Photopass Value Pack at the Photo store. Last time we checked (thanks again Michelle) it cost $69.95 + tax (but they do give AP discounts the last time I checked, since it's over $50, I would also ask about Disney Visa discounts if you don't have an AP) and includes free shipping of your CD. It includes a CD of stock photos and a voucher to enter online and get a CD of your photos (along with any borders, etc. you added online) for "free".
- Buy the CD at the Photo store. With this option, you get all your photos on a CD to take with you, but you don't have the option of adding fun borders. I believe this option is also $69.95 + tax (AP and Disney Visa discounts may apply, I'm not sure)
- Buy nothing in the store, order the CD online from home. This is also a fine option if you aren't interested in any of the extras (or if you went back home and forgot to buy the combo pack in the store). Once again, I believe this option is $69.95 + shipping.

There are Photopass Photographers (PP
) in various locations around the park. You'll always see them on Main Street and Buena Vista Street, they'll be by the Christmas trees, they'll be with many characters. They're to be found on the bridge to Paradise Pier, in Carsland, sometimes in Bug's Land and on Hollywood Blvd, in NOS, Frontierland, Fantasyland, etc. If you're going to do the CD, stop often and have your pictures taken. I just finished a photobook of our year with APs, and I'm only in one picture in the book other than the ones taken by the PP. I'm always the one taking the pictures! It's really nice to get shots with everyone.
If you're so inclined, ask about Magic Shots. Those are where they add in a little character after the fact. Some shots we've gotten are holding Tinkerbell, Sitting with Mickey or Minnie, holding balloons, having Stitch pop out of the ground, having characters (sorry, don't remember who) hang-gliding above us in DCA, and with hitchhiking ghosts in front of the Haunted Mansion.
