I bought the photo CD/book for my sister as a present and she is having trouble redeeming it. Has anyone else had trouble with this?? Her trip was over Thanksgiving and after she got home she input the numbers on the site but didn't place her order right away because she was busy with Christmas. Now she has tried to order several times and they say her pics have been deleted!!!! They only kept them for 30 days!!!! It makes no sense that they would delete them that quickly, surely they know people are busy between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years???????
Has anyone else had this trouble and what did you do??? She has NO PICS other than these from her Disney vaca and I would feel awful if she had none because my gift backfired on her!
unfortunaley they do delete them. It has been my experience everytime I have purchased the cd/used phot pass they have sent me 2 or 3 emails stating my pics were about to expire. I would call phot pass and see if there is anything they can do. I had an issue once and they were very very helpful....I am so sorry I hope they aren't gone
Sorry but you are probably out of luck. You have 30 days from the time the pictures are taken to view them, then you have 30 days from the that time to make a purchase. They don't mess around either.
Disney does NOT keep them longer than 30 days after you input the numbers (and only 30 days after the date they are taken) . They are gone. She can try to email them or give them a call and see if they can put them back but that usually only works if it has been less than a week.
She is out of luck. Hopefully she can hold on to the gift and use it for her next trip.
Thank you so much to treehugnmama and dogodisney for your sympathetic ear and effort to help! I really appreciate it! . BTW, the photopass people DID find her pics and extended her time to use them until 1/29 and instructed her on how to extend them further for a fee if she need to. It appears there was an error with her email address and she didn't get any emails telling her they were about to expire. Photopass has been VERY helpful!!
tpclady: I really don't think that lovetoscrap's intention was to be rude or mean to you. lovetoscrap is a Disboard moderator and her job is to let posters know how things work.
That being said, I am glad that Photopass was able to recover the pictures for your sister. I once went over by a couple of days and they were able to restore them for me.
