Photopass+ pickup when Main Street Photo closed?

We are getting ready for our September trip and I would like to order a PhotoPass+. But I read we need to pick it up at the Main Street Photo and according to the DL schedule, that will be closed for refurbishment our entire trip.

So, my question is, where the heck would I pick this up then?

You could pick it up at the photo place in DCA on Buena Vista Street.

I emailed Disney about this last week, since I posed the question on here and didn't get an answer. I was told that there would be someone outside of the Main Street photo supple shop with the equipment necessary to activate the photopass.

I was worried about it because we aren't going to DCA until the second day, and I didn't want to wait until the second day to activate it. Just in case I made a reservation at Goofy's for dinner the night before our first day in the parks because the CM said I could activate it there as well.

Hey guys! I was also looking for an answer about photopass+ redemption and since no one seemed to know, I called Disney last week. They told me that the photopass voucher can be redeemed at the stroller rental outside the main gates. *shrugs* I can't actually remember where the stroller rental is or even remember seeing it, but I'm sure it'll be obvious if I look for it!

I am so thankful for this information we leave tomorrow and I was trying to make my plan on how to get to A&E M&G and get my photopass first thing in the morning.

Thanks very much for the confirmation, this will be helpful because we'll be going to Storyteller's on Sunday but not entering the parks until Monday. I'll just stop by this stroller rental on the way over to Storyteller's to get our PhotoPass+ going.

we just got back today. there was a photopass photographer in front of the main street photo supply. i went over and asked her how to redeem and she got me all set up right there! you can also try the stroller rental but there is always a line

This is an excellent question since we will be hitting Storyteller's just before 9 AM - it might be too early for the stroller place.

I know they closed as DL closed early last Thursday. I would suggest getting a regular Photopass card and transferring stuff over, but that won't get you the prints right there.

Honestly I would call the Cast Members at Phitopass+ and ask them how to handle it. You don't want to miss out on the included prints! That bonus totally makes it worth it.

Ok so I went to the stroller location outside of disneyland park and exchanged my voucher for my Photopass card very easy to do.
I dont know what time they close by I was there around 8pm and waited 10 minutes.

I wish I would've thought to ask this question before our trip. Our first day in the parks was 9/15. We were first in line at the turnstiles and I was the first person down main street. I headed straight for the photo shop at the end of main street and was met with a sign telling me to go back outside to stroller rental. I did that and the PP+ redemption window wasn't open yet. At that point, the line to get back into the park was huge and they wouldn't let me back in any other way. So I walked into DTD and stood in an equally long line for the monorail. It was a really sucky start to our vacation. And I ended up not getting it redeemed until the next day at DCA, which meant that we lost out on 2 ride photos from our first day. :/

knitster - I am wondering if you went to the photo shop in DCA and told them the approximate time you were on the rides if they wouldn't be able to pull them up and add them to your PP+ Just a suggestion.

We probably could've done that, but I was too focused on other things to even think about it at the time. Oh well, there will be a next time!

The stroller rental place is super easy to find. If you're entering the parks from the pedestrian entrance or bus/shuttle drop offs, it will be to your right immediately after you exit bag check, before you get to the turnstiles. It's full of strollers, hard to miss. lol

If you're entering from DTD, you'll walk past all of the turnstiles and it will be on the left, just past the last turnstile.

This is how we redeemed ours. I had not realised that the photo store was under refurb and bowled straight there on our first night (arrived after dinner time for Magical) and found 3 PP+ photographers outside who I asked where to go and they redeemed the voucher for me.

I really hate that disney doesn't have an outside the park redemption place for Photopass+.

Last year I upgraded my tickets to get in the night before so I didn't have to deal with the lines(rode space mountain and a few others too lol). This trip I can't do that.
