Anyone know if they have regular photopass photographers at any of the resorts

They did when we last visited in 2009 at Polynesian entrance lobby, Wilderness Lodge by the spring, at Animal Kingdom Lodge, on the promenade near Beach Club, etc and we had some great pics added to our pre-paid photopass at these places, usually before we had dinner.

Do they still have regular Photopass Photographers in these resort locations - or has that now stopped?

Just returned this week from 10 days at BCV & AKV. We did not see any Photopass photographers at either resort.

Wish we had. While we were there, I was thinking how nice it would be to get some family shots done....esp. on the days when we were all wearing matching Disney t-shirts.

They were there at AKL during our December trip, but were not there 2 months ago during our May/June trip. There were none at AoA or AKL. However I have seen them at other resorts during the holiday seasons and sporadically at the Deluxe resorts (lobby of WL, AKL, GF, Poly).

We stayed at WL from 7/15-7/25 and we saw a Photopass photographer by the waterfalls near the pool on our first day...but then not again during our stay. It appears pretty sporadic. Or maybe by request??? :confused3

Hmm, maybe I missed them, but I didn't see any Photopass Photographers at any of the resorts we visited in March/April. Places we were: Yacht/Beach Club, Polynesian, Contemporary, and Boardwalk (we frequented the Boardwalk proper as we spent lots of time walking from Swan to Epcot). In particular, I would have loved to have Photopass shots from the Boardwalk... lovely area!

When we were there last October, we had booked Disney's event photography to take my oldest DD's senior class pics at the BC. At that time, we asked about the photo pass folks and we were told that they did away with that since the event photographers took over.

We saw them at WL on our 2010 trip, but we were at the Poly for 8 days in April and never saw one.

In March 2009 we had our pictures taken by a Photopass photographer at the WL out at by the boat doc....we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary so it was especially nice. Then in December of that same year we were staying at the BC and had our pictures taken outside (looking over towards BW) by a PP photographer. At that time we were celebrating my B-day. After that I have not seen anyone at any of the deluxe resorts :sad2:. We are staying at the Poly in a few weeks and would love to have photopass pictures taken there.

When we last went, there was a photopass photographer set up by the flowers/waterfall in the lobby, and taking pics of people as the went to Ohana and Kona Cafe for dinner - we got several lovely shots.

Its a shame they have done away with this, if they have. We also got a great family shot taken near Beach Club with the lighthouse behind and sunset.

I'd have thought they would make some money out of this - but clearly not enough to cover the wages of photopass photographers hanging around at the resorts anymore - what a shame

(additional thought: seem to keep reading more and more posts on these boards of things Disney seem to be cutting back on doing - nothing that would ruin your stay, but the small things that in my opinion make the 'Disney Difference')

I agree ~ I was really looking forward to having some family photos done since I actually pre-paid for the photopass. We took mulitiple photos ourselves ~ me taking DH and the girls, and then DH taking the girls and me. We should have just gone up and asked a CM to take a picture of all of us with our camera.

We stayed at the Poly in July, 2012....we never saw the Photopass at any of the resorts. In fact, there were many locations, including character spots, in the parks that did not have a Photopass person. They did have some days where it seemed like they had a lot of technical problems with the cameras.

On July 24, a PhotoPass cm told us that they'd been experiencing network problems for the past few months throughout both WDW & DL.

She had to send us away without even taking our pics because she just could not get it to work. A few minutes later, we were still in the area & she came up to us & said it was now working again & she was able to take our pics.
