Photopass/PhotoCD question

Not sure if this is the best place for this, but I couldn't find a forum that made more sense, so here goes. Anyway, we ordered the PhotoCD prior to our trip. We're back now and are just about ready to order it, but I wanted to add some borders, etc.

Question is this: if you add borders and that sort of thing, do you just get the altered photo on the disc, or do you get the original as well? There are a few photos that I'd like to embellish, but I'd also like to have the original, unedited version, just in case.

Yes. You will need to save the new photo once you put the borders on it and then you will get the original and the altered photos.

Someone posted in another thread that even if you preordered the cd, you can still apply the current code for "save $25 on a $100 order". The way it works is when you add your cd to the "cart", it registers as the regular $149 price (which your credit takes care of), but with the code you can buy $25 worth of stuff for free!!! The OP of that thread bought the Disney Gallery cd for $15 instead of the normal $40. I think the code expires in a couple of days, so if you are ready to order soon, you might want to check out the offer.

the other thing I would suggest is doing the border on the photo you want for the size you want. The standard on the site is 4X6 but if you want to print an 8X10, then border won't work. You will have to save a photo with border as 8X10. KWIM

Don't forget that you can upload your own photos that you took with your camera to PP and have them saved on a CD.
