Photopass Photo Ops: Photographer sighting at DL (Update in progress)

Maybe I missed something somewhere (I tend to do that a lot :rolleyes1 ), but does photopass include those pics when you are on the ride (like at Splash)...probably not...but thought I'd check.

I'm sorry to say they Photopass does NOT include ride photo's. I think it would be a great idea if they did though.

My observations: You can do the captain hook thing with the photo who takes TSI in the background - you don't have to go to the island for this

Also, in front of the rocks on the way to GRR in DCA

and yes - there is one at Ariels Grotto in DCA but it's not photo pass -they bring you the pic and sell it to you AT YOUR TABLE! You can't get it on your card! It's $35 for for a 5x7 and 4 wallets in a souvenier frame - When you see ariel in her shell at DLR, there is a photo pass with her.

There is a photographer in front of the Castle after dark as well, and during fireworks she sometimes sets up right by carnation plaza and you can get a pic of the castle and the fireworks in the background -

Also, the photographer in front of the castle walked with my DD and I to the bridge that leads to carnation plaza and took pics of us sitting on the little fence with the castle in the background - a different view of the castle, no people, FANTASTIC!

i've been using this thread to update my site to include more information on Disneyland and have a couple of questions (I was going to wait until I visited DL in a couple of weeks, but might as well since it's a current topic).

the ghost at HM, I assume this is not the same at WDW's since WDW's is actually driving the hearse? this is an actual hitchhiking ghost?

isn't there also a magic shot over by nemo?

Thanks for the new info. I will update the 1st post sometime today. I am currently deep in WDW trip planning as I was able to get free dining at Pop for the dates I wanted and now scrambling to make my dining reservations.

That's one thing I love about DL (well one of many ;) )-so much more laid back and less stressful when it comes to planning.

Thanks again for your help everyone!

When you buy the photo at the character meal, it comes with a number that is a photopass number so you can add it to your CD as well.

They are actually hitchhiking ghosts by the entrance, not by the hearse :/

But be wary of this one- it is a cool shot, but it is HARD as it is RIGHT at the entrance to the queue, so people are always going in behind you, so more thank likely someone else will be in the shot- much like a castle photo :)

I updated the 1st post with some of the recent information that I had missed.

I also added info about border choices that may be available to add to your pics when you get home (a belated thank you to jernysgirl:) ). If anybody has seen any other border choices available lately, let me know and I will add it to the list!

Thanks again everyone and let me know if there are any other sightings out there that I have missed!

I never saw 1 photopass photographer when I was there in early January. However it rained almost every day and/or night, so maybe that's why???

wow i will have to keep this list saved and print it up when i go make a mission to get one at each spot

In September at the Paradise Pier character b'fast, there were photogs doing pictures with Daisy Duck. Later they came around with the photos, and if we bought them, they could have been added to our photopass card.

I will say that they did NOT explain it well AT ALL, in that even though I knew ahead of time of this possibility but would need to BUY the pictures, the woman who brought them out simply stated that they would be on Photopass. Did not mention needing to buy them. Harumph.

That's to the left of the big pirate booty pile at the "back" of the island (seems like the back).

Jack and Eamon were behind the chest of treasure, under the big banner/sail thing.

The border was just there...it's a cute border, but when you have 20 pictures with Jack and all of them have the border and you cannot remove the border...it gets old.

So much so that you start to do silly things like this:

Thanks for sharing the borders! So Pics w/ Captain Jack automatically have this border? You're right, they are cute, but it would get old after a while!

I will update the OP w/ the Paradise Pier character Bfst info and confirmed Capt. Jack info. Thanks!!

I am bummed to hear about no ride photos on PhotoPass. At WDW, there are a few rides that you can do this.... for example--- Test Track.

Lovin' this thread! Thanks OP for making a list!

Yeah I just bumped another post that is nowhere as good as this one now. This is newer and more complete. What a blessing!!! Thank you everybody!

No problem. I am really hoping to make the most of the photopass system now that I am part of a share.

If there have been any other sightings, or anything in the 1st post is incorrect, let me know and I will update it.

So, what's the best way to sign up for Photopass? And do you have to have borders on all the pictures?
