We used PHotopass in WDW. This is going to be our first time to DL this June. Is there such a thing in DL? WOrk the same way? Worth it? can I order online and get the discount?

Any thought?

Thanks.

Yes DLR has photopass.

There are two big differences. DLR Photopass CDs are only $59, with no preorder discounts. It does not include any onride photos, but you can add them like you could at WDW before the automatic add on option.

There is a great deal that seems to still be around but could end at anytime. When in the parks you can buy the DLR Photo Gallery CD, with a free PhotoPass CD voucher in it. Then at home you order your PhotoPass CD after editing with the voucher. The cost is still the $59 so in effect the Gallery CD is free. Check in the park at the photo centers for this and verify you are buying a Gallery CD with the PhotoPass CD voucher.

The DL Photopass option is wonderful!! We used it on everytrip. Not sure how it works at WDW, but I'm sure it's basically the same, all your photos from DLR, CAP, and the Resort Hotels are all separated into different "folders" for ease of use. I love it!! It's the only photos we get with all our family. This last trip we bought the CD in the park and I was glad we did so.

Have fun!!

$59? good to know. Thanks for the gallery tips as well, I will check it out.

I assume I can get the pass easily in the park, right? AT WDW the photographer will give you a pass when they took your picture.

Yes, other than the exceptions I noted it is the same. Photographers has the PhotoPass cards and are located in roughly the same spots when you enter the parks.

Yup I am excited about this I have never gotten the CD before, but I am this next trip.

Also just a FYI we got a groupon for a photobook, its good till oct 12 so I am hoping I can get my CD in time to make a few books that I have paid for!

At WDW it's $170, or $120 in advance. At DLR, it's $59? Wow, what a difference. Is that price listed anywhere on the internet?

ETA: I just called Disney PhotoPass, and they told me the Disneyland price went up from $59.95 to $79.95 at the same time the WDW price went from $99.95 to $119.95.

So $80, not $59 for Disneyland.

Last week I bought the Photo Gallery CD and it comes with a free Photopass Photo CD all for $59.95 and it includes shipping. I also got 10% off for using my Disney Rewards Visa.

You should try calling again. You a right about one thing but wrong about the other. It went up, but only $10.

$69.

You do not see this price on their wesbite untill you add in a PhotoPass Card from DLR to your account.

Wow, 3 straight posts claiming 3 different Disneyland PhotoCD prices. Interesting. Maybe it's $59.95 in the parks and $69.95 online. My price was given to me by an employee on the phone, so not sure how valid that is.

Just to sum up, do we buy the DL photo pass CD WHEN in DL? This feature not available online? Just trying to clarify as I cannot see anything specifically for DLR on the photo pass site.

To make it easier I am attaching pictures of the item I purchased and it shows the price tag as well.

I purchased the pictures above in the park at the Photo store on Main Street.

One warning: don't get your hopes up too high about there being the same number of Photopass photographers as there are at WDW. From what I hear, there are many fewer.

We take advantage of every single one we see, some of them multiple times within a week's visit. We can usually get around 100 photos on our Photopass card, which makes the CD worth it. Especially for the night shots. Just keep your eyes open. My kids are expert eye rollers when we see a PP photographer, but they know how to quickly get into position and get the photo done fast.

Thanks for the tip that will help set our expectations.

Buy it in DL, like I explained for the voucher and Gallery CD. This is what Isatricia did.

Or buy online when you are home, it is available online. Like I said before you don't see the DLR pricing until you enter the PhotoPass IDs from a card used at DLR.

Yes, you go into the Kodak store on Main Street and buy the CD pictured above. Then you get a Photopass CARD from the photographers and use it to take pictures around the park (we also got cards from ride photos we purchased that we added to the PhotoPass account after we got home and loaded all our cards). Our Bibbidi Bobbidi pictures were also included. The CD you buy has tons of pictures of the park that you can use to scrapbook, etc and a CODE that you enter at the PhotoPass site to get the CD for free..including shipping. Great deal. On one of our CDs PhotoPass had added a bunch of great character poses, but then another time, none were added :confused3

You buy the Value Pack at DL. I bought it in the Photography store on Main Street. It may be available elsewhere but I didn't look. When you get home you will go through your Photopass photos, edit them as desired, make sure you save them in the sizes you might print them in and then you order it online. At check out you will put the voucher code in and the there will be no charge.
