Photopass? How early can you buy?

We are 9 months out from our vacation, but in the interest of spreading out cost, and possibly avoiding a price increase, I am wondering if I can order a photo pass now? Does it expire?

Sure you could order now. As far as I know there is not expiration date. The only requirement is the 14 days for delivery.

I bought mine 9 months before my DL vacation. It worked just fine when I was there. Super easy to get it registered and ready to go! Since you are more then 14 days out from your vacation, the photopass should get to you in plenty of time.

They don't expire. I purchased mine over a year in advance. We were supposed to go, then my husband's mother got sick and we had to cancel. We ended up going 15 months later. Worked just fine. No issue at all.

The only issue I can see with purchasing your voucher too far in advance is if they change the system, change what is included, or anything else like that. As long as you're okay with the possibility that the features might change, it seems like ordering it far in advance isn't a problem.

I just wanted to chime in and say thanks to the OP & the replies because I was just wondering this VERY SAME THING a couple of days ago! I thought, "Hm, maybe I'll ask about it on Disboards," and then what do you know? There's the answer!

As an update, I did contact Photopass Guest Services and inquire about pre-purchasing a voucher for a trip that was a year or more away. This was their answer:

Once you purchase PhotoPass+ the voucher for a PhotoCD or PhotoCD download will never expire.

So, this seems to say that once you're purchased PP+, the voucher for the photos themselves does not expire. However, this does not mean that what is included (e.g., the character meals, the attraction photos, etc.) will not change.
