Photopass code

I've never even wanted to order the photopass cd but of course now that I might you need a special code. I've never paid attention to if I've gotten the code in the past. Can we still get a code even if we are using points?

From what I understand MS will email it to you a couple of weeks prior to your trip, if you don't get it just call MS and they will either give it to you or generate an email containing it!

I thought that you had to call MS a couple of weeks before your trip and ask for the code. I couldn't find anything official on the member website.

I know there was a thread that people were unhappy when the link for the CD discount that was on the Photopass website disappeared. And after dozens of calls, it was agreed that we could call MS to get the code. But I don't remember anything about MS sending notice to us automatically. I will be two weeks before our vacation next week. If MS is sending out the notice we should get it then.

There is no automatic offer or any unrequested offer for points stays. But if you call MS and request the Photopass pre-purchase discount, they will e-mail you the code in a few hours. You don't actually pre-order it, even though that's what we're all calling it. It's just a key code to use in your cart when you check-out when you're ready to order the CD after your trip.
