Photopass CD with Memories "free" book/ Pre book to save more??

Normally, we prepurchase a Photopass CD before our family trip to get the discounted price of $99.95 and plan to do so for this trip. We've never purchased the Memories book.

Here is my question: Since the Memory book comes with the new vacation package as a voucher to redeem after our trip, would it be smarter to pre-book the Disney Ultimate Memory Package for $149.95. This package includes the CD and the book. Then when it comes time to check out, could I just use the voucher for the book from the vacation package? This would bring the cost of the CD down to around $50. That's a few Mickey bars worth of savings.

Would this even work??

I think you're misunderstanding how this works. When you book free dining, you are paying for the memory book. If you preorder the memory package with CD and momory book for $149 then you'll be paying for a second memory book with your CD. You're basically buying another voucher and you pay now and redeem later. You can't apply a voucher to the prepurchase, only to the actual ordering of the physical book.
