I'm a little confused. Have looked at the photopass website and at the moment its telling me that it'll cost $149.99 (or $99.99 with pre-purchase) - this I assume is for the WDW photopass CD - its not giving me the option for Disneyland. I've seen on mousesavers that the Disneyland photopass CD is only $59.99 but doesn't show a pre-purchase price.
Great I understand that, however, when I go into my account and look at the photopass CD its only giving me the price for WDW (I suppose because we've not yet been to California). For those of you who have been to both parks - when we come back from our holiday and access the account will it automatically recognise that we have been to Disneyland not WDW and adjust the price to $59.99?
We wouldn't want to pre-purchase anyway as we're not sure how many photo's we'd be able to get!

We have experienced this. You are seeing the WDW prices and WDW pre-trip purchase discount. When you put in the photopass numbers from a DL/CA card, it should recognize that they are from CA and adjust the price to $59.95. That is what it did for us last year anyway. To my knowledge DL/CA does not have any type of pre-trip purchase discount like you get at WDW, which is probably why it is not showing you anything.

:thumbsup2

Just to add currently if you are in DL buy a Gallery CD, which has stock photos from around DL, it will cost $59.99. Inside it is a coupon for a PhotoCD, the one with the pictures of you taken at the parks, for free.

Yes, this. We were there in January and did this and it worked out great. Just stop by the photo shop on the right-hand side of Main Street (just before you get to the little red corndog cart and The Plaza). Ask the CM for the Photopass CD that has the voucher inside. (When I did this, she had to go in the backroom to find one.) Evidently not everyone knows about this and they don't tell everyone about it - as the CM seemed a bit impressed that I knew to ask for this.

I have it right here ... on the front it reads "Disneyland Photo Gallery CD, Disney's PhotoPass Photo CD, VALUE PACK" ....

You get the Gallery CD which includes over 300 high-resolution digital photos and the Voucher for Disney's Photo CD. Basically a code that you use when you go to order your PP CD on the PP website.

Also, if you have a Disney Visa, you will get 10% off the purchase price! :goodvibes

I heard a rumor that if you go to WDW, enter all your PP codes in, and then go to DLR and enter the PP code there, you can get all your photos (WDW and DLR) for $59.99.

Has anyone tried that? With the voucher too?

Thanks!

Thanks Maddie2 - I will certainly bear this in mind when we go to DL and ask if they still sell the value pack of Gallery CD and Photopass CD when we go in July. Seems like great value to me!
How many photo's would we be likely to get at DL/DCA - we are going to the parks for 5 days and are likely to seek out the photographers. Are there many of them about?

We are leaving tomorrow for our first family Dland trip, and I am having so many last minute questions. Glad I saw this thread!!

Yes. As long as your DLR pictures are taken after the WDW ones.

I can't find on the WDW website where to pre purchase for the $99.00 I received an email a while back for this but can't find it now. When I went to the website it just had the $149.00 option. Can anyone help?:confused3

Just to be clear, that link is for the WDW PhotoPass, right? I don't want to buy that one right now. I want to buy the CD at the park with all the borders and stuff and that will have a coupon.

So glad I know about this preorder business, though. We'll make sure we do that at WDW next year. It was worth the $150 last year, though, just getting DD kissing Mickey on the nose. :goodvibes

Yes that offer is for WDW not DL. The DL CD to begin with is less than $99 at $59 anyway. The CD with coupons appears to be getting rare so ask for one and hopefully it's available. In the park you buy the GalleryCD, which has stock DLR photos. The coupon you take home. Edit your photos online then use the coupon to get your PhotoCD for free.

In the park you can buy your PhotoCD but you can't edit the photos, adding borders ect...That has to be done at home, online, and then ordered.

When last there in February the CM mentioned that with all the new construction going on, they'll be replacing their old stock photos with new ones when the construction is finished. She mentioned the gallery CD has a lot of the old photos of DL and CA that are no longer there, hence the incentive to buy the old gallery CD.

It's best to mention these key words, "Photopass Value Pack CD". Any CM at any store will recognize the words "Photopass" and direct you to that store (I hadn't, and was directed to the CD/video store, then the art store until I mentioned the photopass website) The word "Value Pack" will tell them to look for the one with the free voucher inside.
