We are planning a quick trip in November. I was wondering if Photopass is available at DL.

yay!! I love photopass. Thanks for letting me know. I haven't been to DL since I was in high school in '99. I'm really looking forward to this trip.

59dollers now and its a cd that you can do borders and stuff with when you get home,
when u are in the park you egt a card and keep it ssafe (write down the code on the back just in case so you dont lose your photos)
take that card to all the photo ppl in the park make sure to ask for the tink in hand, stich in the street in cali adventures, pireates in nos. umm ghosts in hunted mansion area.

then go home edit and order get cd with all pics edited and normal ones (you take it to walmart or where ever to print up pics)

no that is 32dollers for the pic they sell you there its so cute i have it budgeted for it(brekfest looks much better then the lunch I couldnt stand there lunch menu)

Can you buy the pass online like the one at WDW? Also, is it the same website or a different one? TIA

I have read that you can indeed use your own camera for that.

Photopass isn't just the CD, though that is an incredible bargain (you get a CD with the high resolution images on it, and the permission to make as many prints as you would like to make, wherever you would like to have them made, and if you order the CD from home online, you can edit fun borders and signatures and such onto your pictures).

YOu can have prints made (starting at 12.95 for one 5x7), there is a photopass book that's a Disneyfied photobook, and there are other gift things that you can put a picture on as well.

disneyphotopass.com shows quite a bit, though you do have to start an account to get into the good stuff. :) And if you haven't started an account, don't be surprised if the pricing you see is higher than what we are saying, b/c I think they default to WDW prices.

You do NOT want to pre-pay for the CD. At DLR it's only 59.95 buying the CD after the fact. Pre-paying charges you 99.95. :)

And of course the pre-paying at WDW is only buying the CD; you get the cards for no charge from any photopass photographer!

Oh, I forgot to mention, if anyone wants ideas on the things you can get, border-wise, check out my Sept and Dec trip reports. There's also a photopass thread floating around some pages back here, that shows all the cool new "special" photographs you can have taken.

Like WDW at Animal Kingdom has the "holding Simba" pose, DLR has hitchhiking ghosts outside Haunted Mansion, sword-fighting with Captain Hook near POTC and I think on Pirate's Lair, Stitch popping out of the ground or sitting on a bench next to you at DCA, lightsaber fighting with Darth Vader near Star Tours, and so on. Those aren't edited in by you; you will want to ask the photographers about those special pictures, so they can take them or direct you to different places to ask the photographers there! :)

I'm confused.:confused3

Do you have to purchase the CD while on site to get the $59.95 price? Or can you get it for that price once your trip is over? (after loading the pictures on the PP site)

Can WDW pictures be loaded onto the same CD for the $59.95 price?

We're spending a few days at DL/CA prior to our Magic cruise. After the cruise we're spending a few days at WDW.

I want to be able to have pictures from both resorts on one CD. It would be great if I could do this for $59.95 instead of $99.95.

Anyone have a phone number for photopass.? I checked on line and all I can find is an email address.

Since the DLR price lowered, that's kind of been the big question with combining DLR and WDW. :) I was reading something bradk wrote on the Theme Parks board, and it almost seemed to be saying that the lower price might "stick" if you have cards from DLR on your account.

You might want to check out his site, stitchkingdom.com (there's a photopass section), and look in his forums and ask that question (or just seek him out on the Theme Parks forum).

The 59.95 price is for the "buy the CD after your trip" price, the one you can edit. DLR does have a "buy at the park" CD, but you can't edit it, and they tend to bundle it with a couple/few prints, so you're not saving anything.

But since you are going to both DLR and WDW that's not what you want.

Down on the stitchkingdom.com photopass pages there's a phone number. However, you end up playing a long game of phone tag, and when I needed help at the same time that someone else needed the same help, my situation was finished before her, while I was emailing and she was calling.

How does photopass work? What is the cost? What do you get?

Thanks!

Just so there's no confusion. Photopass is a service provided to guests free of charge. You will get a photopass card as described above. Simply present it to the photographers around the park and they will take your photo. They will even use your camera if you wish. You can have as many photos taken as you wish.

Then, you can look at your photos online and determine whether you want to buy them. You can add autographs and borders online too before ordering. If you have enough pictures taken, it might be more economical to purchase the $59 CD.

Precisely. It's also a good idea to check the photos in park before you get home. Sometimes effects such as the hitch hiking ghosts have been known to wander away from your photo. If you take a look at them in the parks, they can call right while you wait to get the effect added to your photo.

One other thing. If you're a Disney Visa cardholder, you get a DV meet and greet for cardholders only in DCA where they will also give you a coupon for a free PhotoPass photograph that must be redeemed in park. While the coupon is "officially" only good for a photograph taken from that location, many people, including myself, have been allowed to use it on another PhotoPass picture. When I did it, the CM told me that she didn't mind letting me use it on a different picture, but somebody else may be more strict.

I spoke at length to the CMs at the Disney Rewards Visa booth at DLR (outside the old B of A building) and they told me that the price you are charged for your CD will be based on the last PP card you load. So, theoretically, as long as you load all your WDW first, and then at least one DLR last, you should be charged the $59 price. Of course, you still have to comply with the 30 days limit to load your pix and then you'll have 30 days from the loading date to order your CD.

I was in a CD share group last Sept. at WDW and was able to add DLR pix as well! It was great fun. And now DLR has even more PP enchanced pix to choose from.

This year I'm running a small CD share group and am pre buying the WDW one for $99. I'm sharing with 3 more families. I still plan on going to DLR after our WDW trip and getting more PP pix taken!

Here's a few of ours-enjoy
