Hey Everyone!! I'm new to this site, I loved reading all of the threads! Very informative! My fiancé and I are planning on getting married at SBP next year
I was just wondering, do you recieve all of the digital negatives of the pictures that the photographer takes without the word PROOF all over it? Or do you have to buy all the pictures you like??? Thanks!!

What you get depends on what kind of wedding you have, who you use for photography, and what package you buy.

If you have an Escape wedding, it includes Disney photography, but digital negatives are not included in the package. You get 20 4x6-inch prints of your choice in an album and a spiral-bound proof book with thumbnail versions of every image. These do not have "proof" written on them. You may also pay an extra $395 to get all your images on disc, but then you won't get the album or the proof book (the latter is no great loss... ;)).

If you have a Wishes wedding, Disney's photo packages run from $1,700 to $5,225. Some of them include the digital images on disc, but these are low-resolution "archive" versions that are not big enough to print any larger than 4x6. If you want your hi-res images on disc, it's an additional $1,000.

If you use an outside photographer, packages will vary, but almost all independent photographers give you the hi-res digital versions on disc as part of their packages, and most of them charge far less than Disney.

:thumbsup2

The proofs are actual 4x6 pictures and they don't have the word "proof" on them. They are finished pictures that you can actually put already in a frame.

Just a piece of advice - look into all your options!

Don't just go with Disney because they are part of the "package". I booked Randy Chapman last minute for my SBP wedding shots, and used Disney for my MK shoot.

Long story short - I am SO HAPPY that we went with Randy for the wedding. I would have been very disappointed had we not. After we got home, Randy sent me a CD with all of our photos and all of the rights to them. And two years later I am still printing photos from my wedding day!

He was beyond reasonable for his service and I know there are many other outside photographers that are too! So, my advice is to look at all your options, you may be surprised at the quality and value you get when you go outside of DPS.

I can only speak from my experience, but with Randy, we have every single photo he shot from the day and are able to print them as we want them with no hassle!

Thats a great idea about the MK shoot. I too would go with Randy hands down. He is a great person and gets some amazing shots. Im not sure how he does it, he mixes well with you and your guest, there are times you know hes there and there are times you will have no idea he was there getting that shot, till you have your photos. When I went though our photos, I thought wow, he got that shot. I can't say enough about Randy, hes just that good. And so much fun. My husband and I asked randy to stay and do about an hour and half of shoot at the Boardwalk after our reception, of course he was paid for that time. But it was such a nice way to end our wedding day. My husband had fun doing the shots and chatting with Randy. He never thought he would have fun doing it.

Two days after the wedding we did our MK shoot. Paul our photographer said that Randy trained us well, because we posed just right. lol

You wont be disappointed at all with Randy.
