Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I, my wife (with our unborn baby), and our two young children I returned from a six night stay at Port Orleans Riverside (Dixie Landings). I have prepared a photo trip report on two web pages, and there are links to separate slide shows on each page. Note that there is not a lot of writing to accompany the photo report, just captions. The link to the first page is (link to second page is on the first page):

One interesting thing that happened on this trip is that we met a friend of mine from high school and her family on two days on which our trips overlapped. I hadn't seen her since 1988, so it was nice to see her again and to be introduced to her family. Our first meeting was at the Fort Wilderness campfire and sing-a-long which my family has attended many times, and which my friend and her family had never before experienced. The next day we all met at Blizzard Beach. The rest of the trip was on our own.

That was great! Your family is adorable! And I love the comment "Burning Marshmallows" LOL :lmao:

What a wonderful trip you must have had! Thanks so much for sharing.

What great pics of you and your family . . .brought back many memories of when my kids were that young and seeing WDW in their eyes . . .

Thanks for sharing! It makes me want to go back like right NOW!!:)

Great pics!

In album 2, when you are at FW eating breakfast, was that Trail's End?

How neat that you were married at the WL!

Again, great photos. I really enjoyed them! :goodvibes

Terrific photo's - thanks for sharing

What a nice looking (and well behaved) family! We'll be going to POFQ in October (never been) so it was nice to see some pictures of the "sister" resort.

Hi CRSNDSNY,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, that's Trail's End restaurant on page 2. We really like it for breakfast, but we are not big fans of Trail's End's lunch and dinner, but the price is certainly good. Although this trip was at POR, we have stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness twice in the past. I love Fort Wilderness.

Love your pictures! It was so fun to see winter gear on at the begining and then see your kids enjoying the Florida sun!!!!:cool1: :goodvibes

I thought so...we didn't get a chance to eat there when we stayed there last year. The cabins are really nice and we hope to have a chance to stay there again.

THANKS!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures!! Your children are beautiful and it looks like you all had an awesome time!!!:goodvibes

Wow what an awesome slideshow! I love the pics of you and your beautiful family having such fun!! I love all their expressions and pics of all of the rides. I am considering POR for our June visit. Did you enjoy it? :thumbsup2

twob4him,

Thanks for your comments on the photos (and everyone else's, too!).

As for your question on Port Orleans Riverside (POR), formerly Dixie Landings, I love it and highly recommend it. I have stayed at many Disney hotels, including many Deluxe and DVC resorts, and I can say that POR is one of my favorites. The landscaping of POR equals or beats any Disney hotel I have stayed at. Lots of beautiful trees, open spaces, walkways, and a river runs through it. And plenty of pools. As I have written before, because of these things and its moderate price, POR is the greatest hotel bargain in Disney World.

Excellent Photos!! Your kids are adorable!

I love POR, :cloud9:

I totally agree about POR. Is there anyway you can get some pictures posted on the DIS for us?
