Our summer holiday was in the Vendee region of France, and while there we went to Le Puy du Fou (http://www.puydufou.com).
This is a theme park, but rather different from WDW! Over the centuries, this area has had more than its fair share of wars and invasions - Vikings, Romans, the Inquisition, French revolutions and the aftermath of the Reformation, to say nothing of the first and second world wars.
So, this theme park recounts some of that history via re-enactments of some battles. Additionally, it is a major falconry centre and there is the mind-blowing Cinescenie - the world's largest stage show with over 1,000 participants.
Anyway, the day we went was almost the only decent weather we had in the entire holiday. I took loads of photographs on my beloved Pro1 (may it rest in peace), and have made a photo-movie of the Viking Invasion scene as a WMV file, with an appropriate soundtrack (play it loud).
I used Sony Vegas Express, and found it fairly time consuming. I'd be especially interested to know whether anyone can recommend other tools that might do this job more easily. I'd also love any comments, constructive criticism, etc.
The video (it's quite large - around 50MB and lasting just over three minutes) can be viewed at
http://www.stagepics.co.uk/temp/pdf3.wmv
It should stream to a Windows PC, so you don't need to download it all before starting to play it!
Let me know what you think!
