Photo Tour of the Screamin' Loop - (several pictures)

Thanks for sharing. The pix are great. I cant wait to ride it for my first time in October!!!

Thank so much for sharing you great photos, CS was my first coaster with a loop and it opened the door for me to ride other coasters. Great fun and not scary at all!

Those are great shots!! Thanks for sharing!! :) My girls love this ride, I can only do it once a day tops or I get queasy. LOL Sucks getting old...LOL

Thanks all for the really nice remarks. :goodvibes It was a lot of fun doing that. Since I couldn't really put the strap around my neck and be able to hold the camera out in front, I wrapped the strap around my wrist. The funny part about the strap was during the "humps" toward the end. You get a little "air time" on each hump and my DS14 was behind me and said he could see the loose part of the strap floating in mid-air each time. I saw it too and it was hilarious, almost like it was floating in space.

Most of these shots were using a shutter speed of 1/2000 sec. which helped a lot with the sharpness. I could have used even much faster shutter speeds but wanted to make sure the lower light sections weren't blurry.

Post the one just before the loop sequence where you start going down after the chain lift with the scream screen on the right... that one is my favourite!

Is this the one you're referring to?

Holy cr*p!!! I think I just got a case of vertigo looking down that thing! I have ridden it once before, but I must've had my eyes closed the whole time because I don't remember seeing all of this. :)

Yup... love that shot!!! How much longer did you have to wait to get a front row seat?

We almost always ask for the front row or the very last row. At most you have to wait for 2 or 3 trains (or whatever you want to call them) to go first. Maybe 4 on a busy day. but it's worth the wait!

Like JaneJetson said, usually 2 or 3 trains. But, we were 3rd in line at opening and only had to wait for the 1st one to clear on this one.

You need to go someday. I'd LOVE to see the photos you'd take there.

Those photos are SO COOL! I felt like I was riding the ride! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing!!

How cool...thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

My husband took our video camera last time we rode (he was in the front seat), and that is one bumpy/dizzy video! I didn't know he was going to do it until I saw him come out, and I'm yelling, "Wait! What are you doing???" as he's laughing.

Danny, why? You really need to go. I love your pics and your eye for capturing a great shot is amazing. Keep those pics coming.....please!

Thanks to all for the nice comments. :goodvibes

Thanks KCmike! Well, it's not like we haven't talked about it. I thought for sure we would be going last summer but one thing led to another and it just always comes down to our love for Southern California in general and our intimate desire to be at Walt's original, handmade creation. I'm sure we would have a great time at WDW, though. However, it would most likely be a whole different feeling than what we get at DL. Trust me, if the chance arises, we won't pass it up. :thumbsup2

It's definitely a different feeling. You really can't compare the two experiences. They are totally different vacations. But both are fun. Disneyland has a way better feel than The Magic Kingdom. But we LOVED Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I wish they had those at DLR.

WDW is a lot of taking buses and walking though. But still a great time. We're going to try to go back in January 2010. Fingers crossed!
