Hope all goes well!
Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery!
That sounds serious Kim. I will be thinking of you today and in the next few days along with prayers and best wishes for a successful recovery. 🤢
....it's been a week and I am feeling better. However, when they did an echocardiogram, there was fluid around the heart. They had to do a 2nd one 3 hours later, before they'd release me from the hospital. Not gonna lie - the incision [ there were TWO of them, on both sides of my groin; one for the patch and one for a camera] was pretty sore and discolored for a few days. Yesterday I had a 3rd echocardiogram to see if the fluid dissipated at all, because they wanted to check for internal bleeding, but it seems to be good. I cannot lift more than 10 lbs but now I can go up and down a flight of stairs (slowly, of course!) No bathing but showers are okay. And, the best news is, I can now attend my retirement luncheon on Tuesday!

Sounds like you had some ups and downs with your recovery but are now headed in the right direction to full recovery. I didn't know you were still working so retirement will be a great change. Believe me, I have been retired for 9 years now after working 40+ years!

Thank you for the health update. Sorry you had to go through all that, but very happy you can go to your retirement luncheon. Mine was 7 years ago and I love being retired. Your recovery will go much faster when you are in complete control of your daily schedule.
