Dh got me adobe photoshop a couple years ago and I still can't get the hang of it, so I'm looking for something else. Just need something to crop, fix pictures and maybe some fun things. But I'm totally confused looking at the programs. Any suggestions??

Have you looked at Lightroom??? It's pretty easy to get a handle of. Plus, there's always the free trial.

It's also made by Adobe. You can get it online, and in the stores. The Adobe site has a fully functional 30-day trial. Not only can you edit photos; but it's great for the organization of your pictures too.

But if you want something Free that's really easy (and fun) to use, maybe try Google's Picasa software. Picasa isn't all that advanced though. So it could be lacking some of what you want to do.

I would like to suggest Photoshop Element, its less expensive than regular Photoshop.
It will let you do what you want plus fun effects like making it look like part of your photo shoots out past the border

Picassa is good for basic stuff. I use it to crop and straighten and a few other things. Its free so might be worth a try. I am looking into getting Photoshop Elements 9. BJ's has it for $49.99. I have the free trial now and it has a 'guided' tab on it that helps you along. I have Elements 5 and just don't use it much because I can't seem to get motivated to look for tutorials. Elements 9 seems to have help right there under that 'guided' tab.

You could also get Print Artist or Print Shop. They're a lot easier to learn and they have tons of templates to help you create things.

However -if you ever want to learn Photoshop in the future, it's best to start off with Elements.

P.S. Photoshop is tough to learn on your own. Try going to a basic workshop or watch some tutorials. You could also try to find someone to walk you through the basics and answer your questions.
