Snow in Vegas. Three weeks ago we had all the doors and windows open and hadn't even turned on the heat yet.

SO funny. Two weeks ago, my boss decided he was going to just get away for a few days and decided on Vegas since he had never been. He had a plan to get there today and walk the strip, see the sights and then tomorrow he was going to sit out in the sun (even if it wasn't warm enough to swim or anything) and read/relax.

Yesterday during work he walks up and goes...guess what the high is going to be in Vegas for my trip? I was guessing 60's...then 50's...then finally he said 44!! That was the high in NJ today (which was pretty mild for us) but considering he was hoping to take a coat-less trip and enjoy some rays, I think he may have picked the wrong week to go.

If only the snow would have held off until next week, snow on Christmas in Vegas is probably unheard of.

This is rare indeed. I do remember one white Christmas when I was a kid, maybe 1978? We have pictures and I got roller skates that year, lol.

Wenrob, has the National weather service made any predictions as to how long it'll last? We're coming in to Vegas Dec 31 and are planning to drive to DL on I15. I heard they closed the pass past Primm and no one's allowed without tire irons! OMG! I need my Disney fix!
I have to say that I've been in snow in Vegas, but have never seen that much on the ground at once in the urban areas.. It's usually a light sprinkle and then it goes away. I'll be so bummed out if we can't make it to DL. If you hear of anything like this could you please advise us. Thank you so much! I'd appreciate it.

When Sony bought out Minolta they kept the Minolta lens mount. so you can go with Sony lenses, or used minolta lenses off of ebay, B&H photo or any reputable camera store..or sigma,tamron,tokina with minolta or sony mount

They just said on the news that it's already clearing up. I15 will be open by noon. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I've been so terribly busy with work as of late, so I must admit that the last time I used my camera was during my trip to Kaua'i in September. I reckon I'll get some use out of it now that I have a pretty extensive Christmas break ahead of me. The weather here in Sydney has been fantastic as well, so hopefully I'll get something new.
