photo sharing: self portraits

I know, I know, nobody likes to have their picture taken (least of all me) but I stumbled across a flickr group who does a self portrait a day for a year and it got me thinking... show me your creative self portraits!

OK, I'm game. These pics are from DH and my trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway in October. The pics where taken with my old Nikon Coolpix 4300, pre Canon S3 days .

This is my most creative. Riding down the parkway holding the camera behind my head not knowing what I was taking a pic of

I don't know if I have any self-portraits - I probably should start though because it seems like I am always holding the camera and never in the picture!

I'm interpretting this request as show me a self portrait, at a Disney park/resort where you took the photo (timer, extended arm, etc.) not handed the camera to someone.

Of the thousands of Disney photos I have, there are exactly 12 that have me in them and 2 that meet the above criteria. Here's one in the sand (actually little tiny pebbles) pit at Animal Kingdom. I'm the one without the red hair, the one footing the bill.

I am definitely one who very much prefers to be BEHIND the camera, rather than in front of it! I don't like myself in pictures, which makes my wife annoyed sometimes. Usually I am hiding behind something... it makes her crazy.

That being said... here's a picture that I kind of like from a while ago... probably 12 or so years ago. Wow, I actually had hair back then! Fortunately you can't really tell what my face looks like.

That's the door handle of the '75 Porsche 914 I had at the time, reflecting me hiding behind my beloved Pentax K1000.
