Hi! I will be at DL Nov 22, 23, 25 and then again Dec 9-11, can we use one photopass CD?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Yes because it's all within 30 days you won't have a problem with photos expiring or needing to pay for an extension.

Do you know of the buying the Gallery CD in the parks deal to get a free PP CD?

We're doing the same thing for our early November and mid-December trip. Since ours are further than 30 days apart, I'm having to wait to enter my photopass card # online in order to get them both on one CD (you have 30 days to enter it, and then another 30 days from then to order the CD). Yours shouldn't be a problem, though - you should even have time to get editing done for your December pictures!

There's a CD you can buy in the parks that includes a bunch of stock pictures and a voucher for a photopass CD online. It comes with free shipping and if you have an AP (which I'm guessing you do), you can even get your AP discount on it. I totally forgot to pick one up for our November trip and hope to remember in December!

The CD you are looking for is called the Disneyland Photo Gallery CD. The cover is green and gold and it says in the bottom right corner that it includes a voucher for Disney's PhotoCD. It cost $59.99 plus tax but it has a voucher for a free photopass cd. You can buy it at the photo shop at the end of main street in DL. I bought mine at the photo area at the gift shop across from Soarin. Inside is a voucher to use online for a free photopass CD (free shipping too). Works great.

Should I buy it in Nov or Dec? I am going again in Jan and Feb...Hmmmmm How many does one need? HA HA!!! December is for my daughter's first birthday! Big party!

Won't really matter when you buy as long as you do it within 30 days of getting the picture during the first visit in November.

It a little bit of a gamble if you want to choose one pair of those two sets of trips. Maybe both, but maybe during one pair of trips you will try to focus on getting more pictures and the other doing more of, everything else.

What are you January dates? If you time it right, you may be able to get Nov/Dec/Jan on one CD order! If you don't enter your November photopass card until 30 days (so, around Dec 21), then you would have until January 20 to order the CD. So, if your January trip is before then, you could get all 3!

Just don't use the photopass number on the AP, and get a new card each trip. Once a photopass number is associated with an account you loose the 30 day upload time frame and they upload automatically.

I looked at the Gallery CD online and it's only $39.99. Do you get the voucher if you order it online or does it only come with the CD bought in the park? Why is there a $20 price increase if this is the same CD?

Also, found this on Allears.net and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this being true? I want to do the Photopass CD this trip, but I don't want to skip buying the Gallery CD in the park with the free PhotoCD voucher and then the Allears.net deal not be true.

I doubt the one ordered online has the voucher. What is the deal on allears.net? I didn't see anything.

I swear I am SO bad about attaching things!

Disneyland Guests Save Money on the CD! The PhotoCD can be a great value, especially for Disneyland and California Adventure guests. Its normal price is $124.95, but if your photos are all from the California parks, the PhotoCD is only $59.95. You don't have to do anything special; just enter your card ID(s) on Disney's PhotoPass site normally, and it will adjust the price at checkout. Note: if you have both Disneyland and Walt Disney World photos in your account, and the Disneyland photos are the latest ones, you will still get the lower price. If your Disneyland trip is before your Walt Disney World, it will charge you the full $124.95. But you can still save money! Buy it through Disney's PhotoPass Pre-order PhotoCD page and save 20%, reducing the price to $99.95. Even though it's called a pre-order, you can do it after your trip, right up to the 30 day deadline with your photos. You can also buy it for this reduced price in the parks at any of the Disney PhotoPass Centers, although PhotoCDs purchased in park do not include the ability to add graphics or character signatures. See more under Products - PhotoCD.

That info is out of date because it's $149.95 for the WDW CD. All it's saying is that if you are doing Disneyland instead it's $59.95. It's not a "discount" it's just that they don't charge as much for the Disneyland photopass CD as they do the WDW CD.

The DL/WDW trick did work until very recently. Disneydaz reported that it didn't work for her October WDW trip, and she wound up with it costing $149 rather than the $59 she was expecting.

If you're going to DL only, do the gallery CD (the one at the park, rumor has it that the one purchased online doesn't contain the free Photopass CD coupon), if you're going to WDW, do the pre-order (and the pre-order now needs to be done before your first photo is taken - yeah, 3Minnies is right, that info is out-of-date). You can still get both DL and WDW photos on the same CD, but you'll have to pay the WDW price for them.

Here is a thread with (a lot) more info, including the recent pricing change near the end. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2576990&page=21&highlight=photopass+cd

Thanks guys! It seemed like the lower price for DL was just too good to be true, but I'm glad it's not!

I'm looking forward to having DD meet Rapunzel and Tiana and know that the pictures are being taken care of.

I guess I am still confused...So I take pics all over the place, they put on photopass card...buy the CD in one of the photo shops? Should I buy it this trip or next trip (12-9)?

Thanks!

They sell a Gallery CD combo pack ($59) at the parks that has a bunch of stock photos on a CD, as well as a voucher for a Photopass CD with free shipping. You use the voucher online at the Disney Photopass website and when you enter the code, the Photopass price and shipping should be $0.

You can buy it either trip, but since you should be able to get both sets of pictures on one CD, you'll want to wait until after your second trip to place your order online.
