Those of you who have done the photo mat picture frame autographs.... Can you share your experiences? What size frame did you get? How did you carry it around? Was it hard for the characters to hold and sign? (a little worried about the fur characters with big hands.)

I want it to hang in my hallway with a family picture from our next trip, so I'd like it to be a pretty good size. I was thinking of getting a 11x14 frame that has a 8x10 picture opening, and bring lots of colorful sharpies. Does that sound like it would work pretty good and be big enough for lots of characters? Or does that sound too big? We will have a stroller if that makes any difference in carrying it around.

Thank you! °o°

Prepare a good protection for rain. I once saw a Dad jog off into the rain pushing a stroller with his back pack in. But the back pack had two pink autograph books on the outside eels tic bindings. I tried to get his attention, but the rain drowned me out to his ears.

It sounds like a nice idea and having a stroller will help, but I worry about keeping it nice. We did a white Disney hat, but a rain downpour got into the bag. All the perm marker ran....heart broken kiddo.

We just got back from Disney World last week. We used an 8x10 mat with a 5x7 opening & it worked great. We kept the mat in a ziploc gallon bag & kept it in our back pack. We had no problems with ALL the characters signing it. Buzz actually signed it rather than stamping like he did in our custom autograph book.

We did this a Chef Mickeys and at Crystal Palace with Winnie and the gang.
I carried the matting 8 and 1/2 by 11 in a plastic bag. When the characters came to the table we took a picture of the child and ask the character to sign the mat. we used the fat sharpies (as these are easier for the characters to hold), different color for each character. When I got home I printed the pictures 4x6 and posted in frame with matting.
I had a couple of matting with us so I could keep the two dinners seperate.
Good luck

What is the smallest size mat I can get if I want to use a picture I purchase onboard? I only want it to be signed by Mickey and the gang, so I don't want to have a ton of white space, but I've read somewhere that you can only buy one or two sizes of pictures taken on board.

Oh I love this idea!!! Where did you get the matting? Everything I see when I google shows very little space for autographs...
