Photo Idea - Build Your own Photobook

I've used Picaboo and Shutterfly. Picaboo was awesome and I'm very happy with the product. Shutterfly on the other hand left something to be desired. The web site was horrendously slow, my session kept crashing and when I finally got the book, the quality was lacking. Picaboo has a tool that you download, which makes the editing much faster and you just upload your creation at order time. It did cost considerably more, but was definitely worth it.

I used Shutterfly to make an album of our trip last year and I thought it was incredibly easy! I loved the quality of my book. I have my book posted in the gallery. It's not nearly as fancy as some of the awesome digi scrapping layouts, but it works for me and it was easy to do.

Mouse Daddy...How many pics did you use to make the album...? Was the hard cover binding at lot more expensive? Is there a limit to how many photos you can use? I have about 200 I would like to use for one...Is this too much?

thanks for any and all info.

I Love these books! I don't have the time to scrapbook and I'm more in to photography so it's great!:thumbsup2 I use "My Publisher" for about $35.00 with cover. You can add up to 200 photos although I've never used that many!

You know, after I saw your reply I went and looked and I used Winkflash.com instead of Shutterfly. I should have been more careful to check before I posted that. I have no experience with Shutterfly, my bad experience was with Winkflash.

Still I though Picaboo was the way to go, it is so fast, since you build everything locally and then upload at the end. Of course, it was more expensive. I went with Winkflash because I had a coupon for 100 pages for $19.95 (26.94 w/shipping). This included a hardcover. I probably shouldn't have expected much.

Shutterfly has a lot of options for layout...but I liked the colours on lulu.com

Has anyone used both? How was the quality?

This looks addictive...

I used shutterfly to make a disney book from out last trip. It turned out great. I have also used shutterfly to make other books. I will however have to check out Lulu.
