photo connect- print Harry Potter pics at home?

I read on orlando informer website that you can only print HP ride pics at the ride kiosk, not other photo connect kiosks throughout the park. So, I'm assuming this means you can't print them at home from your downloaded pictures??? Has anyone done this?

You can print the HP photo at home just fine. It is my understanding that there is a special arrangement between WB and Universal Studios on physical prints where Universal has to pay WB for every ride photo they print so they only officially print them at the rides to get an accurate count. You can print them wherever you want.

Thanks. Does that mean that the enhancements are there when you print at home like the dragon for the HP ride, and similar things on other photos?

There is no ride photo on Gringotts. The photo is taken in the Queue.

Will it only be for the "regular" line? Will--as I have read in other posts--that you will miss having this photo taken if you use the Universal Express Pass?

Like you I was quite concerned about what i could or could not print. I engaged in several emails back and forth with Photo Connect and asking them lots of questions.

They told me I would NOT be able to print at Walmart (for example) but I could only print at home. They also told me I could not use the pictures in any photobook except the ones I did through their site. But I have all the photos now, and can't imagine why I would have any issues.

As others have said there is no "Ride" photo on Gringotts, the photo is taken in the regular queue. While there is no express pass for Gringotts, there is a single rider line and that bypasses the photo from memory. So if you want the photo, you have to do the full wait unfortunately.

I printed my photos both at home and at regular photo stores no problems at all. We did get the Star Card package so that we could have unlimited access to all of our photos. Just make sure you don't forget to visit the Photo Connect outlets before you leave the park to have all of your special effects/boarders etc put in place - you can't do this after you leave the park.

You might have issues printing them somewhere (like walmart) if they require you to show the photographer release, which I'm assuming they don't give you since they are saying you will not be able to print at places like Walmart. However, you can always try and worst case scenario the printing place won't let you do it. It's kinda hit or miss depending on who's running the printing. I've printed professional photos at different places (usually online services) and never been asked for the photographer release. However once I put a frame around my friend's photo for her and she got asked about it when she went to print it at Walmart or Walgreens.
