Photo Connect Online Prices Increasing July 8th

Glad it was helpful, and that a few of you were able to save some $$'s! :thumbsup2

With the value of our Canadian dollar dropping lower and lower against the American buck, finding deals and discounts is becoming a necessity in order to be able to afford my Orlando addiction  .

I ordered the Star Card today and was wondering if it will take up much of our time picking up the card? I don't want to waste our EE time, but would like to get it as early as possible so we don't miss getting any of our pictures.

I had a bad experience picking up our Star Card. 2 families were in line, 2 at the counters, then one person budged in front of us. We waited over 20 minutes and were next in line (with no one behind us). When a customer finally left, rather than waiving us forward, a counter attendant put his head down and left. The other remaining attendant spent an incredible amount of time with their indecisive customer. We waited a good 30 minutes in that shop before getting an attendant to give us our card.

Not a good way to start a theme park visit - it was like a scene from Curb Your Enthusiasm. Uni needs to expedite this process somehow.

So I'm thinking we should use our 1st hour riding the rides and worry about picking up the card later.

I can tell you with my AP one that I had for 2 years and still have my account just not in park active, I have about 4 cards on it. Once you setup your online account you can grab any card from any ride area and then add the barcode to your account. So yes, you can add multiple cards as far as I know.

Just give some cards to others in your party and add them to your account.

Do you have to pick up your card before you go on rides? Can I do two rides and then go back and get my card and add those rides later?

I believe you can. Just get a card at that ride. Then use that until you stop by a photo connect store. They will merge the account and cards.

Thank you! I was able to buy the 3 day for $63.85 so I'm glad I looked here before waiting too much longer and that company upped their price. :-)

36 days to go!

We were able to get Photo Connect for ~$60 for the three day Universal portion of our trip in early June and we really enjoyed it, but a 50% increase is hard to swallow even by Disney/Universal standards. It seems they are trying to get in line with Disney's Memory Maker but Memory Maker provides more photographers all through the parks, videos, photos directly to you using Magic Bands, etc. Photo Connect is just a few photographers at the front of each park, character photos and ride photos. As I said, we liked it, but with this increase I would seriously wonder if we would do it again.

Another weird reason why I am glad this posted.

I was not able to take advantage of the cheaper price, though I tried.

But, because of my attempt I realized that my Greek credit card will not be accepted in the US for a while and I was able to arrange a loan from family to get me through my upcoming vacation ;)

Imagine if I hadn't had that head's up!!!

Cheers! and happy vacationing everyone!
