I have found a program to put my photos into a movie and add music. I am curious for those that have done this what songs do you use for your videos??
Diane

I just did one for my wedding and I used the beach boys, gary allen, kenny chesney some oldies, just easy listening "happy" music people like. Simple instumentals work well too. I've done others and was able to time certain parts of the song with the pictures. It worked really well, it just took forever.

What programs are you using for these? I would like to get one and start learning how to do this.

I'm sure there's a bunch out there but I just used the free one that comes with Windows XP. It's called, are you ready, "Windows Movie Maker". It's super simple, drag the photos you want to use into the program, drag the music, drop them, add transitions, works pretty good. When and if I ever get my blog started to post my wedding pictures I'll post a smaller one I did. It's reallly simple though.

Thanks, I have that free one too. I may give it a try. I'd love to see what you have done.

That is what I used. Free and easy to use just a little time consuming is all.
What disney songs have ppl used?????

I just did a 45 minute slideshow in Adobe Photoshop of an Irish American Basketball Exchange Program that I ran at my son's high school. I used Photograph by Nickelback, Good Riddance by Green Day, My Country Tis of Thee by Crosby (not Stills) and Nash, I'll Be There for You by The Rembrandts and Wherever You Will Go by The Calling. If you are looking for music for a specific event, itunes is a great place to start. Go to imixes and type in "wedding" or "birthday" and you'll get hits for every imix with that in the title. It makes for a good start in addition to your own music library.

Good luck!!!

I use The Disney songbook by Jim Brickman... very beautiful music and very appropriate for A trip video... Good Luck! :cool1:

This Disney Wedding music is all clasical music with no words, it's pretty nice, maybe a little "fluffy" but it's nice. Also you can pick up the 3-4 CD's of Disneys' greatest hits if you want to use that.

OK, here's the really short movie I did.

Geocities won't let me link to it so you'll have to insert http://www. in front of it then copy and paste it.

Just so you'll know what in the world it is, this is in the middle of piegon forge, tn at a huge car show. The story was told to me that a couple of guys were betting whether or not one could do 4 donuts in the middle of the road or not. So somebody finally decided to take the bet. He got caught, sort of, they told us the cops had him at gun point and walked up to him, said it was the coolest thing they had ever seen, if the car so much as parks side ways they put him under the jail. People started throwing $20 bills at him all night. Also, this was in late june early july, we went back in sept to another car show and the tire marks were still there.

Small language warning, Cartman say what he think of it at the end.

Just remember that you can only use this music for your own use. Anythng above that, is theft. All that music is copyrighted and to use it for something you want to sell is illegal. An example is my DD cheerleading coach wants to make a movie out of photos and add music then sell it to the parents. She hasn't realized it yet and I have not mentioned yet that it will be illegal if she wants to use music from a CD. My suggestion will be that we voice record the girls while they are doing their cheers and use that as a sound.

Years ago when I did a wedding video for a cousin I used Ulead product.

I've done this many many times ;) I create DVDs from all of our vacations and also for the end of year slideshow at my childrens Elem. school. We use PhotoStory to make the slideshow. There is a program that will let you burn photostory to a dvd, but since photostory limits you to 300 photos I do something a little different. Last show I created 2 photostory slideshows then import them into Pinacle studio. I am them able to create custom menus and even add any video from my camcorder if I so choose. That seems to work the best for me so far.
