Phoning Home

Will be heading to Germany and then Italy (not with ABD) and was wondering how to phone home. Is there a calling card I can get here that will work there?

Prefer not to use the cell phone.

You didn't mention if you are going to take a laptop or netbook, but if you are, Skype is the way to go! It is very inexpensive and it works great! We gave my parents a camera for their computer before our trip last year. We were able to talk "face-to-face" while we were a world away. It was very cool.

No, no laptop, netbook or cell phone is coming. Do not have the first two, and use a prepaid for my cell phone when I do use one.
