Hello was wondering if I could get feedback/advice on what type of phonics program to get my dd4. I didn't know there were so many different brands and out of those so many different types of kits. I couldn't find one that was specifically designed for preschoolers. Was wondering if anyone could please recommend

1. A good phonics program
2. What type of set/kit to purchase
3. Where to purchase
4. What the cost is for the recommended set/kit.

Thank you for any responses.

I work with older students, but however I can say that the Wilson reading program works well with my students.

My students need extra resources in reading, language arts.

Wilson helps them with syllable, rules for long/short vowels, spelling (how to spell the words correctly), pronounciation, and other things.

We also use Read Naturally system with is a combination fluency, main idea, and other things. My students seem to like the Read Naturally system.

We have also used Glass Analysis to help them.

Wilson 1A I think is applicable to 1st grade. (Don't quote we on that! We started on 1A to see where the students were and now they are at 4.5 or 5)

These students are 6th graders, but are at a lower grade level. (some are 3rd, some are 4th)

Wilson is a wonderful system however the materials won't do you much good unless you are trained on the method. I am certified and the training took approximately a year. I wouldn't recommend just ordering a book and trying to use it without some instruction.

"The Letter People" is a great progam, although it may be expensive to buy. My cousin's preschool uses it and she is really learning to read at age 4.
