Has anyone used a phone card to call home from WDW? If so, where did you purchase them?????

I use the PC phone card from Atlantic Superstore. And I use the payphone in the lobby. It costs .75 everytime I used it in the room.

I bought a Bell phone card from a Bell store and used it from my room. It was the first time I had ever bought one and it seemed pretty inexpensive. I bought a $20 card and still have money left on it after 2 trips and apparently I can reload it on the internet or over the phone.

I bought a card at the Buffalo airport before I got on the plane. It was $12 and was valid for 18 months. It lasted through 2 trips.

We bought the Presidents Choice phone card from Superstore and took it down with us. 4 cents a minute (400 minutes for $10) and didn't come anywhere near using it all. It's good for 6 months from activation I think. And I think activation occurred at the store when we bought it.

Another vote for the PC card. Great to have on you at all times. It was cool to just call home randomly whether in our room, or by a pay phone in the park :thumbsup2

I used 7-11's phone card last time we went (although I have used PC phone cards in the past as well). We called from the room using the calling card and there wasn't a charge (stayed at the Poly) at all - just read the directions properly for placing a call using a calling card.

PC phone cards are the route to go! At Windsor Hills last March Break, the phone company would not accept our friend's Bell phone card! Not the first time we have had trouble with Bell. Last June, on a golfing trip, no one could get their Bell cards to work from NY state. Everyone used my DH's PC card and it worked like a charm! :worship:

Another vote for PC phone cards:thumbsup2 . They are simple and painless to use. I bought a ten dollar one and still had time left over after two weeks in WDW with the kids calling their friends and grandparents a lot.

Love the PC phone cards. We use these in Disney and everywhere we travel. I also use them at home. We do not call long distance very much, so I cancelled our long distance plan and use the PC card. Saves me about $5-$10 per month!

Disney has stopped charging guests for local or 1-800 calls. It's now no charge to use your calling card.

Thanks everyone! My friend went and purchased the PC card, they leave tomorrow! We usually use our cell phone which costs a fortune, but I think we will purchase a card for our next trip too!

Thanks again!:goodvibes
