Phone call from a character?

I have a friend with a granddaughter that is crazy about Minnie. She has heard that there is someone that you can call to set up a phone call with someone pretending to be Minnie. Has anyone heard of this?

I know that when you book a Disney cruise you can set up a recorded call from a character to say they are excited to see you. Not sure if that is what she is thinking of?
