PHM 2015-In Pursuit of Cupcakes While Running in Glass Slippers

I would just like to run it without injury this time (and beat my time from this year!) I loved the race but was in such pain. I think I'll really love doing the 10K the day before, I can get all my pics out of the way and then just "settle into it" (my mantra) and PR my time from this year, hopefully NOT in pain this time! 2:51

I hear you! No injuries or stupid shin issues would be the best thing every. The only pictures I really want to stop for during the PHM is the Castle shot! Doing the 5K and 10K should get my need for character stops taken care of too...although I am not much of a character person anyway...LOL! I know :scared1:!

I lamented for months up to the PHM on who I would stop for and once I got running I realized I just didn't want to stop, it was enough entertainment for me just to SEE everything. I did want the castle shot and ended up getting my mainstreet/castle shot but after stopping for that it was SO painful to start back up that I knew I couldn't stop again. The biggest regret was running by the White Rabbit who had FOUR people in line, and a similarly tiny line in front of the castle, so I will probably stop for those this time just b/c I couldn't when I really wanted to. Other than that, I look so horrid when I'm running, I would rather get photos afterwards with my medal and cleaned up in the parks!

I regret not stopping at ToT for the Haunted Mansion People. Other than that I am not sure what I really regret...my biggest regret was just not enjoying myself and being too serious and focused about finishing the race.

I think if they have Merida and Queen Elinor I will stop. I know that I am pretty :scared1: too when I run, but I also want a few shots saying....HEY LOOK AT ME! :rotfl2: Oh you so know I am wearing those medals and taking lots of pictures!

My July trip has changed a bit. A good friend of mine was able to get me a better discount for my room in July so we're now staying at POFQ (I know - they never get discounts but yay Friends & Family!) Turns out my husband has to be in Orlando for a work thing the 8th & 9th so he doesn't want to drive home to drive back the next day. Guess he's finally getting some solo time @ Disney the 9th & during the day on the 10th!

And you get some alone time too! Lol. I love a few days solo at home to get stuff done (or not).

I was sweating before I ran a foot it was so humid! I can't imagine walking around after that. One year os j. we did that after the 5k and I was uncomfortable all day. Definitely need na shower!
Aww! Sorry that wouldn't work out but you all speak truth. By the time we coordinate post race and get cleaned up it would probably be closed.

Are any cupcakes up for a Monday wear your bling breakfast at Boma's? I saw the reviews on Yelp and praline French toast sounds aMaZiNG!!!

YAY...and I have to agree with Edie you get time alone too! Sometimes that is really nice!

Debra and I have penciled in Boma for Thursday morning before expo. After PHM we are going to try out Sanaa for "brunch" time meal. You are welcome to join us...I am eyeing the humus and naan bread! Not sure what plans are Monday...depends on when our flights leave!]

Must Do-
Test Track

Like To Do-
Spaceship Earth
Nemo
Soarin (meh...love it but they need to refurb) I think Soarin is almost on my like to do list too...the only thing that keeps it on the must do is the smells and just that feeling of flying...
Living With The Land

almost all the rest of Future World. FW is really my least favorite place in all of Disney, I think...but World Showcase makes up for it. ;)

I have to agree World Showcase to totally my favorite part of Epcot. I am hoping this trip to really slow down and enjoy each country more that I have...starting on the Canada side...we always start Mexico (I wonder why???? Must be those....hmmmm drinks. There is nothing to rush me or take my attention away this trip!

Must Do

1. Soarin
2. Mission Space
3. Living with the Land
4. Nemo

Like to Do
1. Figment Scratching my head...I just did not get this attraction...
2. Test Track (I have a cut off in how long of a line I'll do for that ride) Fast Pass and first in the morning...the new refurb is a lot of fun...
3. Spaceship Earth
4. Raytheon's Build A Roller Coaster in Innovations I need to do this...I totally forget about it all the time!!!

Live Without
1. Universe of Energy
2. Circle of Life
3. Captain EO This needs to go away!!!
4. The Rest of Innovations

Lots of the same feelings being expressed. Future world needs a makeover and BAD...there is so much they could do this the area!

I didn't stop for any pics for characters during the half, it was so humid that I just wanted to finish. I took a few selfies along Main St & castle. Took several character & other stuff pics as I ran by.

During the 5K the lines were crazy long. Hubby signed up for the 5K in Dec, so he ended up in corral E, whereas I was supposed to be in A since I signed up the first day. So...I was nice & moved back with him. Anyways, we took a few pics around WS & I took a few pics as we passed by.

Everything else, lol. I have never been on Mission Space...at all.

I enjoy walking around WS & just taking in all the details of each country (& a Grey Goose slush in France...a beer in Germany...a margarita in Mexico) ;)

I enjoy alone time at home. I just tend to stay up too late when he isn't home though.

We always get the FP+ for Soarin rather than Test Track. stupid tiers! We've done enough times though that we don't feel like it has to be each time but I also tend to go to Disney more than most. Already have done 3 trips this year and I have 4 more for the rest of the year plus the cruise.

Excuse me while I go throw up. :scared::crazy2::eek:

Okay. Back.

In truth, pretty much what was predicted & what I expected.....

Epcot Must Do's:
- all the thrill rides
- LOVE food + wine fest

And once in a blue moon:
- Maelstrom while tipsy (The trees have faces... far out maaaaan!)

I don't understand, why is the Glass Slipper Challenge $20 more than booking the two races individually?

I've booked our hotel! Boardwalk one bedroom villa. And I went for my first run with the baby in the running stroller. SLOOOOOWWWWW.

Here are our plans. Could anyone comment on whether we are missing any fun race thing or any of this is potentially not going to work out?

Thursday 6pm arrival - Epcot, dinner at Tepan Edo, Fantasmic
Friday - Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace breakfast, tea at Grand Floridian
Saturday - 10k run with my girl, Magic Kingdom, dinner at Be Our Guest, Wishes if it is not too late?
Sunday - Half marathon!, Breakfast for Eveie at Cape May Cafe, pedi afterwards for us at the Grand Floridian
Monday - morning by the pool and home.

I have been meaning to share this for a few weeks...

Isn't she pretty...full size messenger/hipster bag! This is going to be my travel bag from now on, thanks to Betsy who picked her up a few weeks ago after attending the Vera Bradley event/party at WDW!

Good friends really know what you like! First sparkle skirts and now Vera Bradley...and of course the colors and the hidden Mickey obsession I have!

I can't wait to use her next month in Europe. My ipad, phone and camera fit nicely inside along with a few other things I have to carry around.

THANKS BETSY...
