PHM 2015-In Pursuit of Cupcakes While Running in Glass Slippers

Is anyone else doing the breakfasts? Or the pasta in the park?

And did I read something about Italy for dinner?

And do we have a list on page one of those doing what races and staying where?

In May I tried that ice cream sandwich thing in the new France bakery where they take the brioche roll and you pick the ice cream inside and they put it in a sandwich maker thingy and squish it into a yummy warm roll outside with a cold delicious inside! Can't remember the name of it though!
I'll be craving that again!

Oh, and we are staying at SSR but hoping to move to the BW.

I'd be ALL OVER that macaron ice cream sandwich in France :-)

They are my favorite!

I got to try the new vanilla one this past weekend too!

I love the Pesto at Tutto Italia, caramel apples at the Germany pavilion, certainly Fish and Chips and love the Japanese Restaurants.

Off to family vacation - landing in Denver in about 20 minutes, Tammie!

Caramel...how could I forget the caramel corn...warm buttery...ugh

I hope the weather is not too crazy in Denver for your landing tonight. What are you doing in Denver?

Congrats to all you ladies who got registered! Especially excited to see the two original OCDs running together!! ;)

Actually there will be 4 of us doing the 5K together...Amy, Betsy, Heather and Me. So excited to run with my gals and be together!!! I can't think of much better, other than all our new cupcake friends together celebrating and wishing you weren't crazy busy with tax season!

Wednesday Wondering: I must have a Mickey Premium Ice Cream bar. Any trip to WDW would be incomplete without one!

My cousin that was planning to run PHM with me (but she can't) wants me to sign up for a 1/2 in December. I know I have time to train for it, but I am having a hard time getting excited about it. And I'm worried she will cancel on me at the last minute.

I have a shoe question. I got fitted for shoes in March. The soles are coming apart! Do y'all have shoes "only" for running? I'm thinking I should get a pair for running and a.pair just to wear.

Not sure of anyone doing pasta or breakfast but we are doing Via Napoli on Saturday night at 4 pm.

AND YES WE NEED TO MAKE A POST WHO IS STAYING WHERE AND WITH WHOM... PLUS RACES

Brandy...looks like you need new shoes. I was stunned how fast I go through a pair of shoes. The ones I have show mileage rating of about 400 miles...at about 300 I know I need new ones. Yes, I have a pair that I use only for running...once they wear out they become my around the house shoes and get a new pair of running shoes...speaking of which NEW ONES on Saturday!

This is what I do also, I use a pair and then that pair of running shoes becomes my 'play' shoes and I get new ones. I actually just got a pair of new ones last month with my birthday coupon! :thumbsup2

I have no idea how I judge when I've 'used' them up. I like to break a pair in about a month before a race.

I figured I did need new shoes. But for $130, I thought they would last longer than 4 months! At least here in OH I am relatively close to a running shoe store to get fitted again. I may try Asics this time. I need some gorilla glue to fix my old ones.

I know! I am lobbying for runDisney to move the half weekend to after April 15th!!

Sorry I missed the other two - I just got so excited about Amy. I know all 4 of y'all will seriously enjoy this! I think that's 4 of the original 8. Not bad odds!

I haven't registered for the Pasta Party, earlier on in our plans my friend and I thought about doing it, but after for registering for everything else we haven't. But now I'm just wondering...isn't it a bit late for when we have to wake up 2-3am?

-What are the thoughts on people who have done it? Worth it?

-Did you stay the whole time?

-How much sleep did you get?

:thumbsup2

I was actually wondering the same things about the pasta in the park. :)

I could use a bit of advice from the rest of you ladies. I am trying to find a sports drink I can actually stomach the taste. I don't enjoy the Gatorade, powerade and all sport you typically see. Any suggestion on other ones anyone can suggest? TIA

I like Nuun a lot - tasty and portable - but I also stick with water and get electrolytes from sport chews like beans, blocks or chomps. I know a lot of people like Hammer too.

I still can't believe I actually got myself registered! It seems so far away but I know it will pass by quickly...I am finally sitting for a few minutes and I want to give a quick introduction:

My Real Life Side: I am married to a wonderful man.

Usually what you find with store bought drinks like gatorade etc is a lot of extra sugars. You should try searching electrolyte drink recipes on Pinterest etc. There are a lot of tasty fruity electrolyte drinks that are easy to make and a great deal healthier! :yay:

Thank you. I will definitely try that!

Today is the day we have been planning for almost 18 months!

I hope to pop in a few times to see how training and plans are going!

Have a fabulous, wonderful, magical trip Tammie!!!!!!! Take tons of pics, I cannot wait to hear all about it! :goodvibes
