Phinny Confirmed - Pirates Quest Until Noon Tomorrow Tuesday, April 1st

Once I heard this I wanted to confirm it as I thought a host had previously told me that we had until closing on April 1.

So, I went into the host room tonight.
I asked Fin, "There is some confusion. Does the big quest end at closing or no.on tomorrow?"
Fin: "When I asked earlier, I was told the quest would stop tomorrow at no.on VMK time."

I have the screenshot if anyone wants it, but that's what she said.

Noon vs. 10pm is a HUGE difference.

Why does this not surprise me. Because I really believe the programmers at VMK really really lack people skills.

The poor hosts who have to take a patience test to get hired. This reason because the programmers are constantly making bad decisions regarding how to treat the players as people not pixels.

What makes me upset it is the most caring players that get hurt by this. How many were making a last ditch effort to help friends through and put off completing the quest until tonight.

Even when I got through pirates it was a day later before I even tried to finish it. Evem. when my team said go on we will do it tomorrow. I was busy helping others

I guess too many people got through and they are not happy about this so they are cutting it off early and going on a technical we said april 1st no time specified we kept in open till April first but can close anytime. So they kept their end of the bargin.

Yes we all assume it would be on till the closing on Tuesday. Now we all know what the true meaning of assume means.

And if you do not you are too young to know So do not even bother asking

Not that I have insider information, but I'd be really surprised if the quest didn't run till closing today. I know the VMK website hasn't always inspired complete accuracy, but:

I'm even leaving work super early so I can make sure to get this done. I spent most of my time helping others through pirates that I still have the last 4 tasks left on cteddiesgirl.

I'm really hoping that it actually ends at closing. This entire quest has been a nightmare for almost everyone.


Please, VMK, give those that work and go to school until closing like it was implied on the homepage.

Well, my choice was either leave work and lose pay to finish the quest or stay at work, get pay but lose all the hard work, stress, etc I did for the quest.


Just tried to start the quest on a mule. It's now inactive.
It's done.

Yes. The quest has been removed from the quest button. The newsletter has been updated to show that the quest ends at noon PST.

So I'm officially going on strike and not going to continue to play VMK. I mean, after all.. wasn't the main purpose for children to be able to play and learn important life skills, like honesty, how to be fair, patience etc? Maybe I'm way of with this one.. but for a place where dreams really do come true, the kids never had a chance with this quest!
