I have a question for anyone who has flown airtran. I measured our luggage that we were planning on checking in. It measures exactly 61 inches not including the wheels. How strict are they as far as the size. I saw on the website anything above 61 is 39$ a bag I am wondering if I should take the chance. If it buldges a little from stuff in it do they measure the width to the tip of the buldge? I am confused and not sure what to do
I dont have any smaller suitcases and really do not feel like buying one so if anything I am thinking should I just take 1 and pay the extra money or take the chance of taking 2 and hoping to only pay 15$ per bag.

Hey Lindsey, I have flown AirTran for the last few years, but when I flew in December with them, I did not have to pay for my checked bags b/c I booked before a certain date. But I will say, a have a freaking huge suitcase, b/c I only like to try and pack one suitcase when we travel for me and Devon, it's less of a hassle with less luggage! Oh, I mean its big enough that Devon can fit in it!!! Anyway, in December, when we checked in, they weighed the bag (needs to be less then 50 lbs.) and measured it. Of couse my bag was over 50 lbs. so I had to take me pillow out! I also had it filled to the gills (have the the part to expand unzipped and all) and it made weigh and length/width. I think you should be fine if that puppy made it through!

thank you for your advice. I really want to take both but I will be so mad if I have to be 78$ both ways. I am thinking they will probably go more on weight than measurements unless you have a really enormous bag.

I did do it for our '07 trip (couldn't for our 2008 trip b/c crub-side was closed), I gave the guy a $5 and he didn't charge be for my bag being 4 lbs. over.

Huh??? This is a good question, you know what, I am not sure... I assumed that they were going to make me pay for my checked bags when I checked in online the day before?? This will be interesting to find out!!!

I guess its not a big deal either way I was just wondering. I am leaning towards taking the two suitcases because I really want extra room for the way home. I am just going to be so irritated if they make me pay 39$ per piece. I know most likely it will be ok but its still in my mind....

Ok so I checked in online and were it says room requests I clicked on it. It gave me two choices either a pack and play or a refrigerator. I didnt need either of these. I just wanted to put a comment about what building and rooms I preferred. There was no place to put a comment anywhere. After I submitted it I realized that I must have checked pack and play which I dont need.

Can anyone help me and tell me how to fix this. It says you can go back at anytime to update it. How do I take off pack and play and add my comments?

Well first let me say I am doing the single digit dance and also happy to say this is our last weekend before we go to disney So this in itself deserves a big cheer!

I have been super busy and productive this week. I am right on schedule with my timeline so I am happy about that.

I have done 12 loads of laundry this week.....yes 12...you read that correctly. We have rubbermaid bins that we seperate our laundry in by person and somehow over the summer with so much leisurely activity we got a little behind on the laundry bins. Anyway....all the clothes are washed and put away. Allelujiah!

I also got my planner done that I will carry with me in my small purse. It has all the info that could possibly be needed during our trip. Here are some pics. I did not take pictures of all the pages but it consists of:

Getting there info
Daily Itineraries w/ conf# of ADR's and times
Park Hours
Park Check Lists
Going home info
Meal Card

I also got our tip and money envelopes finished.

I made one for every night of our stay for mousekeeping. Ryan and Nick both have one for their disney dollars. I also made a few more not pictured. Magical Express tips, Dining tips, and Dh and I's money.

I also got 2 tshirts done tonight. They are for the boys to wear to AK.



Amy's transfers were so easy to use. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I still need to get 2 more shirts for YDS.

Hi everyone and happy sunday. I hope I still have listeners. It seems quiet on these boards lately. Maybe its just that alot of the september travelers are in disney. Hopefully I am not boring anyone too much.

Anyway, Heres my update for today.

Yesterday I got everyones shirts done except Nick but I did managae to finally find him 2 plain tshirts. I could not find black anywhere in his size so he will have white I contemplated with this for like 15 minutes in the store because we all have black shirts and I didnt want him to look different. So I finally gave up because I was tired of shopping so he will be in white. Yeah well. I will post pics later tonight of the final products. They came out good.

I also made a small dent in my packing. I had to clean up the house like 10X because when I am not giving the kids my attention after awhile they seem to tear apart the house. Its a fight to get them to clean up so after awhile I just gave in and did it myself. It takes more energy to fight with them than it does to clean it up myself. So that kept me busy yesterday.

I also went to my cousins pampered chef party which was alot of fun. I havent been to one of those in a while. We made veggie pizza which was excellent.

I also got glow necklaces! We plan on wearing them for MNSSHP.

So today my plans are:

Ryan has rally day at sunday school. (kinda like meet the teacher see your classroom and refreshments)
I have to stop at my parents and trade them my car for my dads trailblazer. (by the way my parents couldnt keep the boys today. They had other plans ).
I need the truck because I have to take donovan to get his shots at a nearby pet store today thats doing a vaccine clinic. So that should be fun doing this with a crazy dog and two kids.

I also need to go grocery shopping and get a weeks worth of food.

then I can come home and continue packing. Try to watch the eagles game or at least part of it.

I will be doing all this while my dh sits back and relaxes at his friends house and watches football all day. Yeah something is wrong with this picture.

I will let you know how it goes.

Seems like you got a lot accomplished yesterday, so that's good... I did the whole get one week of food shopping trip yesterday... Devon was trying to throw a million things into the cart that he wanted for his lunches and I had to keep telling him next trip b/c everything would go bad if we bought too much stuff!!

I have a million and one things to do still... I have a feeling that this week is going to fly by b/c of it!!! I have to go to a bridal shower today, so nothing will be getting done today (yes that means I cannot watch the Eagles game!!! Not happy about that!!! At least I can get the score on the phone thou) I sure hope I can get everything accomplished, my main concern this week is making sure Devon has everything and is prepared of school each day and that I can get all my schoolwork done!!! Which means packing and cleaning the house is going to be a last minute thing! Not happy about that, but what can I do... Have to prioritize I guess!!!

How about those Eagles?!?!?!?! I didn't get to see the game b/c I was at the shower, but my brother texted me throughout the entire game so I was up to date with what was going on!!! Shower was good and the food was amazing. All and All a good day!!

I had to write a list when I went shopping yesterday b/c I would have bought half the store if not!!!

Man I sure hope the line wasn't too long!! Some of my friends with pets have waited forever at Petco!!

I am so glad to see all your posts. I dont feel like a big loser now.

I am excited too to read all the TR's once everyone gets back. I will start with yours gabrielsbigtrip. I hope you had a great time. I am hoping this week goes fast. So far the weekend flew by but isnt that always how it is.

First let me just give a big horray to our EAGLES today. Oh yeah baby 1-0 great way to start the season except for mcnabb getting hurt Hopefully he can make a quick recovery.

Second I will say that I missed most of the game. I was at superpetz from 1230pm to 315pm What was I thinking taking my 2 kids and the dog. There were nutty dogs all over the place, barking and yelping. oh my gosh! after I left there I had a splitting headache . It did work out though and now donovan is up to date on vaccines and has his registration and I also got his nails clipped too. So my parents will now be happy taking him in for the week.

So this did change my plan for the day. I got home and the kids took a good nap so I was able to get some packing done. I didnt make it to the grocery store so I think I will try to go over my lunch break tomorrow.

I got just about everything packed except dh's stuff. That I do a little at a time cause if I keep asking him to many questions he gets annoyed with me. Especially during the football games. I figure I will work on his stuff throughout the week and we are both off on friday so I will finish up the rest then. I still have a few odds and ends to throw in. Mostly the last minute stuff that we are still using and a few pieces of clothing that needed to be washed. I also finished Nicks shirts and they got good too. Tomorrow I will post the pics of the shirts I made.

Well this time next week I will hopefully be sleeping and gearing up for our first full day in disney.
