Phillies Fanatics are heading to disney 9/09 1st family trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the phillies vs mets too. July 3rd. It was awesome. My dh would die for season tickets. Maybe someday. Thank you so much for the info I think something like MC'D's would be fine since we will be eating way to much in disney. We can stick with a light dinner. Thank you so much for the info it help tremendously with the planning. My dh will be excited to know I got directions from a fellow eagles fan! Are you going to any games at all this year. sucks about the tickets! Hopefully you can get them back next year. I will say a little prayer:angel:
I am going to check out your PTR today. Glad you decided to start it.

Small world, that was the Mets game I was at!!! No problem, I was glad I could help! And yes, I'm sure we will be doing alot of eat while we are there as well! It really does suck about the ticket, but yeah I am hoping to get to at least 2 games! Let me know if I can be of anymore help with your stay in Philly!

1- Raincoat
1- Sneakers
1- Flip Flops for pool
1- brown sandals
2- extra outfits
2- extra socks
2- extra undies

so altogether (not including day one since I wont pack that in disney luggage) that makes:

11 shirts
11 shorts
12 undies
11 pairs of socks
2 swim trunks
3 pairs of jammies

DS2 is pretty much the same. Except replacing undies with diapers. I was thinking of taking 70 diapers this includes our overnight stay in philly. 1 regular size pack of wipes and 1 travel pack of wipes for the park bag, and I think 10 swim diapers. DS2 is doing well with potty training but I havent been pushing him too much. I came to the conclusion that at this point keeping him in a diaper would be easier than having to always remind him to tell me so we can go to the potty. I am going to start full potty training when we return. Isnt that a sick way of thinking.

Well I hope this didnt bore you too much. I will work on my list of all items needed. Watch for that soon! Along with my nightly jobs.

Tonight:
Pressed penny tubes
day 1 of my planner- I plan to use 4X6 index cards and make a small booklet so it fits in my purse. I will take a printout to keep in room in case of destruction to my mini size planner.
post clothing packing list on my PTR-
DONE

Great list! Wow, 70 diapers...I wonder if I need more? How many does he use at home? Cooper only uses 5 a day, so I just multiplied that by 7 days there and added 10 more to be safe. I don't want to run out, but I hate to lug them there and back-a bunch of them take up space...decisions, decisions...

Oh, btw, another similarity-I totally held off on PTing Cooper because I didn't want to deal with that on the trip! Much easier in diapers!

And in case you didn't see it on my PTR, I am dying to hear how you make the pressed penny tube labels fit. I had zero luck. Please teach me!

I havent gotten the pressed pennies done yet. I was going to do that now so if I figure it out and hopefully one of us can I will let you know the trick.

Diapers- Nick uses about 6 per day. So times 8= 48 then plus 10= 58 so maybe I will cut mine down to 60. I will probably only pack 50 in the suitecase and the other 10 I can use for sat (philly) and in the diaper bag as extras. I case I was panicking that he will get a diarrhea bug and then what am I going to do. Thanks for helping me think this one out. I think I decided on 70 during a panic attack.:rotfl:

thank you! I realized after I posted it that you can see his man hood a little too well. Sorry about that. Next time I will focus on his head more:rotfl:

lol... Terry's Mom's dog is a sheltie and whenever he gets excited and his "manhood" comes out, we call it his lipstick... So, Donovan was just showing us his shade of lipstick... :lmao:

So tonight I am working on starting my planning cards. (never got to this last night)

Hope you all are having as much fun as I am.

Great update!! I just got the same carry-on bag!!! So funny, I was just trying to describe it in my trip report update!! I just love it, it's so much fun! I have those Nike flip flops too, they are the most comfortable things ever. I've had mine for at least 3 years!!! Kiddies costumes are adorable! And the pressed penny money holders are genius! So creative you are!

Love seeing pics of all your "stuff"! I love the t-shirts, esp. the Forever Green one. Is that from the Disney store? We're very green around here, so I love it! I wish I could find these Nike flip flops around here to try on, since you both say they're so comfy. Great job on the penny tubes. Question for you: is that carry-on your personal item, or your suitcase? I can't tell because of the pull-out handle. It's really cool looking!

thats so funny. We have the same good taste:thumbsup2 I said I could run a marathon in those sandals. Well if I was able to run a marathon..... I got the carryon bag for 20$ at the totes store at the chelsea premium outlets have you ever been there? I cant remember the town they were in but I know it was close to philly.

the forever green shirts are from the disney store. I got them on sale and they are organic. I thought they were perfect to wear to epcot. I was upset I couldnt find them in adult sizes. I know for a while kohls was selling the flip flops or the shoe dept. if you have any of these stores by you. Nike stores always carry them or nike on line but then you would be able to try them on and I know you said you dont like the thing between your toes.
The bag is a carry on. the pully handle actually can zip inside the bottom of the bag. I didnt measure the bag but I think it is definitely within the airtran requirements. Now i have to go home and double check though cause I will stress over that if I dont. :rotfl:

I still didnt get my planner started. I really need to start organizing all my info like conf #'s, park hours, plans for the parks etc. I have all kinds of papers with stuff written on them all over my desk. I hope to get that done by the end of next week. I also have printed off envelope cover things. I have 6 for mousekeeping and 1 each for the kids spending, 1 for dining tip money, 1 for general spending money, and 2 for ME tips. So I need to get money envelopes to finish those. I plan on taking mostly cash and then our cards. I use to take traveleres cheques but always thought that was a pain. How do you all travel?

I'm planning on making the kids' t-shirts with transfers, but if those fail, I am totally getting those shirts. I love the trees! I would definitely get one for me if they had them in adult sizes!
I'll have to look at a Footlocker or something. I was just at Kohls and ours didn't have them. I actually bought a pair of Speedo flip flops there on Sunday, and have been living in them ever since. I'm getting used to the toe thing, and I love how comfy and convenient they are to slip on and off. I may become a flip flop convert yet!

I wasn't trying to stress you out! I couldn't tell if it was small enough to be your personal item (you know, like a backpack or large purse) or if it was your carry-on suitcase. I knew it wasn't your checked bag! It looked small enough that maybe it was your personal item, in which case I wanted it! So cute!

This is totally me. I had all these slips of paper everywhere, so I finally got a 1/2 inch binder, printed a cute cover for it, and now I have all my slips of paper falling out of it since I haven't punched holes in anything! Huge improvement, right? So don't feel bad, I'm just a tiny, tiny step above the papers all over the desk! The envelopes are a great idea. We have a bunch of rewards dollars accrued that I am hoping we can just charge most things, including tips, to our room and pay off that with the rewards dollars. I need to figure out if that's right. I read that the street vendors and carts can only take cash, so we definitely need some for that, but I have no idea how much. I don't do travelers cheques-too much hassle for me!

Good job on getting use to the flip flops. they are the best thing ever made!
I wish I could wear them to work:)

I am glad I am not the only one unorganized with my stuff. At least you have it all in one place. Thats a good first step.

I totally forgot about attaching your credit card onto your disney card. I think I read somewhere you can also give cash at check in to put on the card. That would work out great too. I guess I just feel when I have cash I can tell so much easier how much I am using. When I use my cards I always seem to go overboard. I guess thats what I am afraid of. Do you know for sure if you can give cash at check in? If not I guess I can use my debit card and not bring cash. In that case I wouldnt need to make all the money envelopes. Such decisions!

Ha Ha!! Chiming in on your end now!!! I'm with you, if I could run a marathon, I definitely would run it in those!! :rotfl2: but that will never happen being that I can't even run for 3 full minutes on the treadmill. I tried to today actually and thought I was going to have a freaking heat attack!!! :rotfl:

Ok so I have the first glitch which I am sure is the first of many. I know no trip is perfect without any problems but tonight was the first road block Ive had seen my plan began awhile ago.

Dh comes upstairs with this sad look on his face saying "Ive done something really bad". I am thinking what could be so horrible. So hes holding something behind his back. Im thinking hes bought something that Ive told him not too cause you know the line "were going to disney we need money to spend there". He's been wanting to get an authentic eagles jersey and I keep telling him not right now what until after vacation. So he pulls his arm from behind his back and you will not believe what I saw.....................

It was my camera with the lens part that comes out when you turn the camera on totally dented and cracked. :scared1: I calmly asked "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CAMERA" he said he was taking a picture of something he wanted to sell on ebay and accidentally dropped it and it hit a wooden ledge and then the floor. OMG! I dont know if it can even be fixed. I am going to take it to a local camera place in the morning to see but if not I am going to have to get a new camera for disney. This isnt the worst thing in the world but right now I am on a tight budget prior to vacation and it is just not what I was wanting to spend money on. I even just bought a new 2G memory card and threw away the wrappings. Uh! 1st glitch in my well planned out system:headache:

Well the good part that I have to mention is I am an only child. Yes I am 30 years old but I am still my mommy's "baby". So I call her to tell her all about my dilema and she offers to buy me a new camera if the store cant fix it. What a mom. She is so awesome. So I guess I cant complain too much cause I am sure it will all work out in the end. I didnt tell Dh this. I am going to let the guilt :guilty: settle over night before he knows he's off the hook.:rotfl2:

That sucks about your camera!!!

Way to go mom!! Hey, you want to call her real quick and tell her my TV broke and see if she can get me a new one??? Is she looking for another daughter?? :lmao:

Oh no!!! So sorry about the camera!!! I thought you were going to say he bought the Jersey!!! LOL!!! You are very lucky to have a mom that will do that for you... Even though I am 1 of 3, I am still the oldest, so my mom does stuff like that for me all the time too!!! We are sure blessed if you ask me!!! But, I'm sure we will do the same for are kids one day too!!!

LOL. I think she has enough with me and my husband and kids. She always said she could retire if she didnt have us to buy things for.:rotfl: I always tell her she doesnt have to but she says its what makes her happy. Gotta love her

Yes we are definitely luckey. I know I will do the same for my kids and also I will make sure to do all I can for my parents when they get old and need help.

I am off to the camera store to see if it can be fixed. I will let you know the outcome. Say a little prayer for my camera:angel:
