Hey all
Was at WDW all last week and the highlights were Philharmagic and RnR. I absolutely loved Philharmagic. It's a must see!

If anyone has any questions, I'll do my best to answer.

Ken

I know some of the other 3D shows will be too intense for my 2 yr old (i.e., Honey I Shrunk the Audience), but I'm really excited about this one. Did toddlers seem to do okay in this one?

We also just got back, and loved philarmagic. The last time we visited WDW, my son was freaked out by It's Tough to be a Bug, and that ruined him for 3-D. He didn't even make it through the Muppet movie because he thought it would be scary.

We all loved philarmagic. The best part was smelling that apple pie:-).

As for taking a toddler, I took all three of my kids (6 months, 3, and 6), and, for the most part, they all enjoyed it. You do get squirted with water, which scared my baby, but that is over with quickly. I'm sure you could prepare a toddler that they might get a little wet. It's really fun, though.

This one seems to be the 'calmest' one of them all. The best one too. The other 3D shows are too gimmicky, this one is just about right (a little less gimmicky will make this show perfect).

We took our (then) 27 month old to see Philharmagic in November. She was VERY freaked out by the show. We took the 3D glasses off and that helped, but she was still pretty frightened. She enjoyed other shows, but we were afraid to take her to any other 3D shows after that.

PhilharMagic was wonderful! All enjoyed this show, and if given the chance, would have seen it again!

We did this twice and were sad we didnt get back for a third! I love that apple pie smell....

mmmmmm

Our 15 month old was in total fear! The music alone was WAY too loud......I mean really really loud. Dh had to leave with her.

Our 2 yr old was freaked out by it too. Maybe because he had seen Muppets 3D (didnt like that either) the day before and "expected? something. Taking his glasses off helped a little. He was grabbing us and crying. Is this the one with bubbles (cant remember)-he did try to grab the bubbles but once something came at him or one of the effects got in his face (water, air) that was the end of it. You can always try it out, but sit near a door for a quick escape if it gets really bad. We didnt even attempt Tough to be a Bug.

I was all ready to see Mickey for 15-20 minutes but was surprisingly glad to see the show centered around Donald and his feisty personality. Mickey still had his part though. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

this one is definitely tamer than the other 3D's! the characters are probably more familiar to your kids too, but it is loud! you know your kids best.

btw, i have a newfound respect for the duck after seeing philharmagic and will be buying donald merchandise on our next trip! glad to see him in a 'starring role'!

I agree! We just got back and I LOVED it! I really didn't know what to expect and was scared of being disappointed but I was FAR from disappointed. Definitely one of my new favorites!

Is there usually a long line for Philharmagic? Should we plan on this early in the day or is it okay to save it for later? We don't want to miss it!

We were there two weeks ago and all of us LOVED this show!! We saw it twice and would have gone again if we hadn't run out of time. My 5 yr old DS laughed and laughed throughout the entire show and my 15 month DD sat mesmerized with her glasses on the whole time. She didn't squirm or make a peep, which is very unusual for her. Seeing her reach for the 3D objects was precious. For those with young children, give it a try. Just sit by the exit in case you need to leave.

Our wait last week was only about 25 minutes..not bad.

We walked right in to Philharmagic last week. However, the parks were not very crowded. I'm pretty sure it has FP though.

I definately agree that this is by far the calmest of the 3-D shows. There is nothing in the movie that is meant to scare you. It is totally unlike ITTBAB and HISTA in that respect. It is more of a surprise factor.

We all thought it was absolutely wonderful. However, only you will know if your little one will be bothered by the 3D effects, wind and water. By the time we got to HISTA my sons knew to look for the place the water came out. One of them put his foot over it so it wouldn't squirt him. You could probably do something similar if you are worried that the small water spray might bother your toddler.

YEAH--DONALD!!

He is my DDs favorite. Most little girls love the princesses--she loves Donald! He makes her laugh. :D

I'm glad to hear that lots of kids are enjoying this one. I want to do this 3D first. It wasn't open when my Unofficial Guide was printed, so there isn't much info on it. How often does it run? What I mean is, does it run continuously or do I need to check the daily schedule for times?

Thanks.

I loved this show! and saw it three times on our January trip. This is one gift shop that I loved afterward too. I bought the mug, pin and magnet. Couldn't get enough! Awesome show, can't wait to see it again. :D

Our 3 year old won't watch the other 3-D shows, he hides his eyes but he loved what he calls "Mickey's Magic". We went to see 3 times this past trip, it was really great. Both my kids kept reaching out towards the screen trying to touch everything, it's a really wonderful attraction.
