So you can share the spring feeling with me...

The beginning

There was one of these on each side with the sign at the top

This was a big as a dinner plate

To the right of the entrance behind the large arrangements

The hot air balloon was totally made of flowers

Giant Lilypads from Longwood Gardens. When these are full grown an adult can walk on them...they are HUGE!! This was also the first time Longwood Gardens has presented at the show, which I thought was really strange..

The theme flower was orchids, they were everywhere.
These were decorating a tree

Nice photos of the show, thanks for posting, doesn't look like I can fit it in my schedule this year but great to see a DIS'ers photo review! Are you from the area? We are near King of Prussia, PA!!)

This was a display that was suspended from a big metal grid. It's like 100 plant rooters

Yup, I'm from Delaware. My BFF and I try to go up every year.

Wonderful pix, thanks, Deb! I can practically smell the yummy scents!!!

Longwood Gardens is one of my favorite places on earth. Growing up, I've got photos of my brother and I at least 4x a year standing in front of different things there, including the massive water lily pads. We visited there so often - back in those days, it was free! I'm so glad they are participating in the flower show. Every year or two, when we head to PA/DE to visit family, we try to squeeze in an hour or two at Longwood just so I can get my "fix" - DH and the kids know not to get in the way of this recharge!

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I've got to get back down there for the show next year, even if it means cutting back on my scrap budgeting! :scared1: (See, up here in Boston, we have the flower show, but Philadelphia really is The Flower Show...)

My BFF and I started taking the floral design classes at Longwood. We were having a blast, till the stupid economy blew up and we had to stop...

I love it up there

That must have been so incredible. They are among the best in the world at what they do (and the rest of the list is pretty short!)! To get the chance to learn from them is amazing.

Maybe you can get to start the sessions back up, when the economy bounces back...any time now, hopefully!!!

Love those flamingos pix - they made me laugh!

I want to do a small flamingo for the porch at the beach like the one with the hat on. I took some closer pics for inspiration.

We laughed so hard when we saw that one, it was in a party theme, and there were margarita glasses, and it looked so fun I wanted to jump in and sit and have a drink

Thanks for posting the pics!! We lived SE of Philly for a few years but I never attended!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Longwood Gardens!! When I showed DH the lillypad pics I told him we have to go back there!!

We lived out near Oxford, PA. Great little diner there! Ah...a couple of things I loved about the East!

We will have to meet up at Longwood someday!!

Wow, I bet that smelled wonderful there. Thanks for posting the pics to give us a jumpstart on spring!:flower3:

Thank you so much for the photos.

A flamingo on the porch would be so cute.

Wow, we'll be in the area in April -- I know the show will be over, but after all the positive reviews maybe we should see Longwood Gardens.

Nice pictures!

Thank you for the photos! One more thing to add to my bucket list. Actually, two. Longwood gardens is on there also.

I love to go to the Philly Flower Show. This years was great! And I always think about DW while I'm there. We go in April to DW so this show is like a little pre-view for us. I still have to download my pictures.
