Here is the info she put on her facebook about it.

c&p from her post so its her words.
behind the thunder mountain railroad next to bbq cowboy restaurant. I never go back there because it always seems to be closed or kids activities. it was cool they had coloring with woody and pics with jesse. free coloring pages and bat puppets for halloween

Hi!

There IS a petting 'zoo' back next to the BBQ. It is called the Circle D Ranch.

They have goats, a burro (or donkey...I am not a farm girl!), and a small adorable cow. There are also a few sheep and a cranky turkey.

There were baby goats in the spring!

It is a terrific stop and they do have sinks right there to wash up after the petting!!

I was just there today visiting the goats and I overheard someone asking a CM how long it has been there. I believe her response was since 1985.
I love visiting this area during Halloween time. It is decorated so nicely, I love the fall colors! The cabin is very cool to walk through, and I love the pumpkin carvings. Today there was a woman carving Woody onto a pumpkin.

My friend asked "when did the animals get to the park" the cm told her this morning.

This is the reason why I enjoy this board!

In all the times I've gone to DL, I have never seen this "petting zoo" area. I will definitely take DD (3) there as a place to get away from the big crowds (I'm assuming) and enjoy the animals.

The turkeys that are "pardoned" by the president, just prior to Thanksgiving, often end up at the Circle D Ranch. When you walk on Big Thunder Trail, the turkeys are right next to the trail.

When DL does receive the Turkeys, they are flown to DL, and they have a calvalcade that welcomes them to DL.

Oh my goodness the petty zoo is so fun! We fell into it when our son was 1...he soo loved it! A must do!:woohoo:

I was there yesterday and went to the petting zoo. They had a huge sheep that I saw, some baby goats wearing bandanas and they had a cow named Maggie (very friendly). I pet the cow Maggie, who was wearing a pink tutu. Here are some pics I took with my phone:

I took more pics but it's on my digi cam and I haven't uploaded it yet. The goats are very friendly too. They also have a station with sinks where you can wash your hands after you pet the animals. I also saw a hand sanitizer machine located near the entrance of the petting zoo. :) They also have some picnic tables set up where kids can color paper bats and stick various paper hats on them (that you color) and they have baskets of crayons. :)

I remembered when it opened! I could find some pictures of "Mickey Moo" !

Rochelle, Great pics!

My daughter Kelly at one time could name all of the goats since she went there a lot right after they were born. We usually try to visit the ranch when we go & say hi to the animals there.

We found this for the first time on 9/10. These were the least obnoxious goats I ever met!;) The cow was not there, the turkey was fenced. These were the cleanest farm animals I had ever seen! There is a little "cabin/house" were there was coloring pages, crayons and a couple tables to sit at to color. It had a old fashioned kitchen too. Realy cute.

The cow in a tutu is to funny. I will be sure to put it on our list for may of things to do with my daughter.

We always have to stop by the petting zoo at Christmas time because my kids love to see the Reindeer :)

I love seeing the animals dressed up in their fall outfits, LOL.

I had no clue there was a petting zoo in DL until 3 years ago and I've gone to Disneyland over a good dozen times... I'm going to take my daughter there this year. I'm sure she'll love it.

I went to DL today and took some pix of the petting zoo. They had my buddy Pancho the Burro :)

Aladdin + Abu The turkeys that are "pardoned" by the president, just prior to Thanksgiving, often end up at the Circle D Ranch. When you walk on Big Thunder Trail, the turkeys are right next to the trail.

And paving that trail all the way, are little pearl size droppings.... :rotfl:

They are flown in, because the turkeys tire very quickly from doing their own flying. So they end up boarding SouthWest Airlines, and do so with strict instructions for the cabins chef, not to stare at them, especially when he is holding a cleaver.....
