Pets on Golf carts?

I know that the rules say no pets on golf carts but I just stumbled on a post on the Fort FAQ thread that said that they are now allowed on carts as long as they are not taken into posted "No Pets" areas (Marina, settlement, pool, etc.) Would love to take our "Max" cruising with us on our trip in two weeks - feel bad enough leaving him in the motor home as much as we have to. He weighs four pounds - it's not like he will jump off and maul anyone. Does anyone know if he would be allowed to ride? He's small enough I may just try it anyway and take my chances - but I'm not usually such a rebel and prefer to play by the rules!

I don't think all of the "official paperwork" has been updated (much less all the Fort info floating in the web), but since they opened the dog park (Jan'08?) they have allowed leashed pets on the golf carts - presumably so that people in the further away pet loops can still get to/from the park easily.

As you said, they're still not allowed in any of the "no pets" areas, but taking them for a spin is fine.

We took our girls to the dog park every morning in November, and then did a "cool down lap" up and around the 2 main roads back to the 300 loop. They enjoyed it very much.

Sounds great! I just told Max and he is very excited!!!! His little ears will be blowing in the wind as we cruise!!! He loves to ride!!!!

Our sweeties ride all the time,,in fact , we bought the buggy for our Bailey,
hence, "Bailey's Buggy".
At least we dont let the dogs DRIVE the buggy like some of the brainless parents who turn their "ANIMALS" loose to drive around without the parents being there !

My dog loves the wind in his face, so the cart rides were a big hit. When we got back to camp, he never wanted to get off the cart.
