Petrol Stations near to Sanford Dollar???

Hi All

If, as I have been recommended, we choose not to have the hire car pre-filled with petrol from Dollar at Sanford airport. Does anyone know if we are very far from a petrol station or if having them fill up for us is a more sensible option??



Any ideas, greatly apppreciated as always.

I think it comes filled with petrol and you just return it the same way

This is probably just my misunderstanding in that case.

When we used Avis we had the choice of empty or full and had to return it in the same way, but a full tank was full of expensive petrol.

We were given the option of bringing it back empty but, as Paul says, it must be full and you just bring it back full - never actually thought of it before for some strange reason

I accepted to pay to bring it back empty and was charged the petrol station rate but double the amount that would actually fit in the tank...................

Normally they supply the car with a full tank and you need to return it as such - they always try to sell you a pre-paid tank of gas, doesn't matter how you bring it back, they make more money that way..... and if it's not back with a full tank (i think they give about 10 miles leaway) they will charge the extra drips to your card...

We've always returned ours basically bone dry (once we practically coasted into the place, we'd been on the red for miles and were panicking we wouldn't make it!) We've never been charged for it, always been given the car with a full tank.
