I have this compulsion to check and look at dogs in my area. I was watching for some strays we'd found a couple of weeks ago and before we got our puppy also looking to see if we could find a rescue that fit our household.

Now there is a dog at the local pound that is so much like our puppy I'm having to repeat to myself "We can't have another dog" over and over.

He's a Maltese / Yorkie mix and our puppy is a Poodle / Yorkie mix...he's badly in need of grooming and a bath but I think he'd look very like our puppy in my signature.

So anyone else in the DFW area looking for a new puppy??

Stop watching Petfinders!!!!:rotfl: I already got T-Bone a home, don't make my brother take in another dog!!!:rotfl:

I need to know more! My mom and dad are seriously trying to find a good home for their 5 year old Westie. She's just too much of a handful for them anymore. Could they post her on this site?

Yes they can post their Westie, there is a classified section for adoptable dogs. Just go there and read the rules. Since it is a fairly young dog and a desirable breed they should be able to find a home for her.

But T-Bone needs a brother ;)

I'm sure this little guy will get adopted too - he's just a baby and you just have to be able to see the diamond underneath it all like with T-Bone and his pal :)

I called my brother and his response was, when do we pick him up, I told him Saturday! I sent the link to my SIL...I will let you know!:)

I guess T-Bone has won their hearts :)

It's even more dangerous to go to the shelter just to "look" and thankfully I'm very busy for the next couple of days.. :lmao:

I used to go on there all the time and look. My best friend would not only look but would end up adopting some. She ended up with 7 dogs. She's very responsible. It can be addicting.

I like to look at that website too. But it makes me sad that I can't help them all. :guilty: When we are in the position to adopt again, that is where we will start looking. :)

Here's my new baby I got today from a Petfinder listing. I've been checking them since last July when I had to put my cocker Cody down.

I knew I couldn't get a dog until after Christmas, but I have seriously been looking since then. This was the first one I called on.

Oh, Janette- what a cute little face!!! I want him... DH says no more dogs, but I think I need to work on him a little... ;)

This would be a little bitty thing - probably less than 10lbs and won't shed. Tell him there is always room for one more ;)

The city has a limit of 4 pets, I keep thinking I could squeeze in one more but it really isn't a good idea for me :rotfl:
