We are looking into new luggage for Christmas and I know Pete has a favorite but can not recall the brand. Anyone remember - or do you have a favorite?? Mostly looking for the perfect bag to check, and a companion that we can carry-on for shorter trips. Thanks dis-friends!

TravelPro makes great stuff - I was shocked recently when I saw that our Sams had a two pack of TravelPro suitcases for a very reasonable price - something just didn't seem right about it. Doubt they are knock offs but bet they aren't up to snuff to the "real" ones.


I was very happy to find a basically new TravelPro rolling laptop/business carry-on at a thrift store for $20 a few months ago.

After destroying a cheap set of luggage in just two trips we spent the money last year and purchased Eagle Creek luggage. We got the Tarmac series and it came with a lifetime "no matter what" warranty. It is very well built. The company also features a "pack-it" system that organizes all your stuff. We are VERY pleased.

Thanks everyone! Our Samsonite set is just about beaten to death (thanks to the Airlines) and we definitely want a change.
