I am a big ride chicken and have never ridden Peter Pan's Flight. Could someone tell me how high off the ground (actually) the car gets? When you have hearing problems there is a feeling of being off balance often and that affects me.

I would guess eight feet high -- maybe. They use forced perspective to make it seem higher.

The ride is smoother than the Pooh Ride and Snow White -- very tame. It's fairly dark if you don't see well. I've never heard of anyone having problems.

This is my FAVE ride at WDW. I think its magical and soo unique! I will stand in line the longest for this one... it's awesome!!!!

I can't imagine anyone having problems with it... ?

It really isn't bad at all. I have problems with heights on some things (especially buildings) but this has never bothered me. It is a very unique ride.. and pretty too. :)

LOL, I have trouble with many things. Just challened that is all. Always a bit off balanced and do not want to embarrass myself in front of the small children. Thank you all for the input. Might I also ask if they have to belt in you in or anything? I always figure if restraints are necessary the ride might not be for me.

I don't remember there being a seat belt, just a bar that locks in place :D . I didn't have any problems with Peter Pan and I have real issues with heights (didn't even do Dumbo :o ). I hope you are able to try it, it's a wonderful ride ::yes:: .

Lap bar which is mainly to rest your arms on,I think you will be fine. It's a great ride the themeing is lovely one of our favorites.::yes:: :wave2:

I can't remember any seat belts (if there were they could only have been a token gesture:) ).

Give it a try IMHO one of the best rides at Disney

It is a very tame attraction. I think the height varies from about 10-15 feet. It's one of the original Disney dark rides, but is much loved.:earsboy:

Thank you all for the encouragement. I believe I will give it a try. If I get too darned scared I will head over to EPCOT afterward for a layered margarita. Will still be scared but will not care? LOL

Any fear on this ride will be a simple phobia ie. irrational fear. The ride is slow, gentle, does not rise much over the ground and feel as safe as anything.

Eight feet sounds about right, you could jump out easily if you wanted to and land without so much as blinking.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by balance problems. Peter Pan is a sit down ride with a lap bar and no place to go. Falling wise, I mean! That being said, the ride does load on the moving belt system. Just have someone steady you on the platform and you should have no problem. It really isn't very high up, just looks it sometimes. Well worth the effort.

My 10 year old son has a phobia with heights and he never has a problem with Peter Pan. I don't know if it because he is so engrossed on what is going on . It is a definite don't miss. Lots of Disney magic on this ride.

Yep, is irrational fear but believe you me it hurts just as bad as the real thing. LOL Just do not want to make a big fool of myself. As far as jumping 8 feet - I would be able to fall 8 ft but not jump. If such happens and you see me coming, please move. I do not like to inflict pain. If the thought of seeing my large body hurdling through the air toward you scares you it might be an irrational fear. (grin)

Thank you all for your help.

Peter Pan here I come! 4 days to go!!!
