Peter, Wendy & the Lost Boys head to DisneyWorld TR 3/22-3/28 2014

Love the Donald Duck lights!

Bama Ed

I love my lights too, for as long as I can remember Donald has always been my favorite.

Napping on my Disney sheets as a tot, my head is laying on Donald

My Gram made this cake for either my 2nd or 3rd birthday

After the travel days and a late night at MK we didn't get going real early, we slept in until about 8:00 and then had breakfast at the campsite and were finally ready to get going around 9:30. One of the things the boys really wanted to do was ride the monorail so instead of taking the bus to Epcot we headed to the Marina and since the boat to MK was waiting we hopped on and road it over then walked over to the monorail station and rode it to the TTC where we transferred to the monorail to Epcot. The boys really like the ride.

When we entered the park we had our pictures taken by some of the photopass photographers near the entrance and in front of Spaceship Earth

A little fun with Memory Maker

We then saw Pluto so we got in line to meet him

We then got in line for Spaceship Earth, and then remembering Space Mountain the previous night we got out of line to hit the restrooms before getting back in line.

After Spaceship Earth we were in our first FP+ window and headed over to Mission Space. This was the only ride the entire week that both Wendy and I got off feeling sick, we both said never again. The boys on the other hand loved it and came off bouncing and skipping down the hall going on how great it was both loved their roles in the simulation, Patrick was the Commander and Michael got to be the Pilot.

After that Wendy and I decided we weren't ready to do anymore rides right off so we headed to World Showcase and it was finally time to meet Donald Duck.
The line wasn't very long but we had to wait a few minutes so Donald could go make dinner reservations for his date with Daisy later that night, but finally it was time.

Wendy and the boys got their picture with Donald too.

After we left Donald we checked out some more of the World Showcase and had lunch in Italy at Via Napoli. The pizza was very good.

After lunch we headed towards Soarin' since we were almost in our FP+ window. While in line we were talking with a CM and he noticed the boys 1st visit buttons and Wendy mentioned it was her birthday week and this was one of her favorite rides so he seated us front center row so we would have "the best seats in the house".

After we got off Soarin' we headed to our last FP+ for the day, Nemo and Friends. After Nemo we went into Turtle Talk.

It was very warm, 80's, and we were not used to it so we were all felling the effects especially Wendy. I think we all got a little dehydrated, so we decided to just head up stairs to the aquarium and sit and watch the fish until it was time for our Dinner reservation at Coral Reef. While we were waiting I checked MDE and found that my pictures from the previous day at MK and the morning at Epcot had linked to my account but there were a couple of the boys that were missing.

Dinner was very good, even though we were still pretty full from the pizza at lunch. Wendy had the Mahi Mahi and I had the Seared Trout. We drank a lot of water along with a Rum Runner for me and something Blue :confused3 for Wendy. For dessert we split the Chocolate Wave.

After dinner we were felling better but knew we had an early day for Monday so we started making our way towards the exit. on the way out we did stop at the Character Spot and get our pictures with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Goofy was great, not as great as Donald, but he had a ton of personality for someone who doesn't talk.

We also stopped at the photopass shop to ask about the missing pictures of the boys in front of Spaceship Earth. It happened that the photographer happened to be in the shop and explained that he didn't have his camera setting quite right so the photos did not pass quality control but he said there was another photographer in the same spot so we could have them redone. So as we headed out of the park we stopped for a few more photos.

The boys wanted to ride the monorail back so we retraced our steps to the TTC then MK on the monorail then caught the boat back to the campground.
When we got back to the campsite we could here Chip and Dale's sing along but didn't feel like walking over so we just listened to it from our chairs next to the camper before turning in for the night.

With the Flower and Garden Festival going on the grounds looked great. We loved the Topiaries.

Just glad you made it over.

Thanks for joining. I was reading your DL TR at lunch today, looking forward to the rest of it.

What a small world!
What day was your Epcot day? We were there Sat the 22 and it was hot. We also had lunch at Via Napoli that day. I wondered if that was the same day that you were there too.

Joining in..... :coffee:
Love your Spaceship Earth pictures, wish our family would have stopped to take more of the PP pictures around Epcot. It was our first trip this past Christmas.... go go go, wish we could have stopped to smell the roses. Guess that's the joy of Disney, keeps you coming back for more.
Can't wait to read up on your fabulous TR. :thumbsup2

Thanks for reading. We tried to be realistic and not push ourselves too hard. We knew we were going right in the middle spring break season, the crowds were going to be heavy and we weren't going to be able to see and do everything, so we prioritized what our must dos were each day and figured anything else was a bonus. With that outlook even with the heavy crowds it wasn't very stressful.

Technically it was my second trip but it had been so long, about 30 years, it felt like a first trip. First trip was either 1984 or 1985

I LOVE THE PICTURE. Look at that sharp chap....:rotfl:
It is your kids first time though right? To see Disney through their eyes especially for the first time. Awesome. I love how much they are enjoying it too. My kids were older when I first brought them and I regret not bringing them sooner.

Also saw the picture of the camper in the snow. Wow !!! We just bought our first camper a few weeks ago and live in South Louisiana. I'm sure glad we don't have to worry about that. You guys must have really loved thawing out down south for a while. We love to visit the snow! Visiting is enough....::yes::

AWESOME pics!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I love what y'all did with the Memory Maker photos. Your family looks so incredibly happy to be at Disney. You really captured the moment.

Glad you were happy with your location at the campgrounds. Looks like an ideal place to be. I totally grabbed my FW map when you named the location...wanted to get a visual

Thanks for posting your vintage pics of the World and Donald :thumbsup2 Isn't it funny looking at old pictures??!! My kids love searching through my old Disney pics....always good for a laugh ;)

So are you planning another Disney trip??? Can't wait to read more!!! Have a great weekend!

Congrats on the new camper, hopefully you enjoy it and get alot of use out of it. It was the kids first trip, and Wendy's first trip to Disney World, and fun seeing them enjoy Disney. It was definitely nice getting to experience some spring weather a few weeks earlier than it will be arriving here for good, we did have a very nice weekend here with temps in the 70's but have the possibility of some overnight snow later this week.

Enjoying your TR! Camping at WDW sounds wonderful. I'd love to be able to do that (especially around Christmas time when folks decorate their campsites up).

We've been to WDW about 10 times in 10 years and I have NEVER gotten on Mission Space because I get motion sickness so easily. Good for you and your DW for trying it. My DH and kids get on it but not me...no way. That ride and Tower of Terror are the only 2 rides I've never done at WDW...might do ToT someday but not MS.

Thanks for sharing your TR!!!

Loving your report! Can't wait to hear more:)

Thanks for taking the time to read, we had a great time.

The site was great, originally we had requested to be up closer to the settlement but we were very happy with where we ended up.

As much fun as Disney was, another trip isn't in the immediate plans. As I said in the first post we are campers and there are a lot of places we want to get to and experience with the boys, later this year we are heading for the Maine Coast and Acadia National Park, our big trip in 2015 is going to be West Virgina's Blackwater Falls State Park, Great Smokey Mountain National park and possibly Mammoth Cave National Park, 2016 is tentatively The Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Glacier National Park and Yellowstone.

Looking through old photos is fun, Wendy's parents recently downsized from a house to an apartment so they have been sending us boxes of old photos, including a few Disneyland shots.

Speaking of Wendy last week she started having chest pains and was having trouble breathing so we spent the end of last week at the hospital running tests and meeting with doctors and on Friday she ended up having gallbladder surgery. She is doing fine, still a little sore but recovering. Now that we have dealt with this I will get back to updating the trip report in a couple days.

MS was mine and Wendy's least favorite ride of the entire trip, followed closely by Stitch's Great Escape. The boys loved both of them.

Thanks for jumping in. We were definitely in the building the same time as you. We road Nemo about 2:30 then did Turtle Talk around 3:00, after that we hung out upstairs at the aquarium until 4:00 when we headed to our ADR at Coral Reef.
