There is a thread on Dikembe, I don’t think he’s being forgotten about.Let’s not ignore the fact that he had sex with 14-15 year old girls when he was in his 30s and married.
His defense? “I thought they were 16 years old”… legal in Ohio.

Think about this if you have teenage daughters.
And then when asked about it recently, he said: “that was 50 years ago, lady”. No remorse at all.
Imagine the trauma of a child abuse victim for that time.
I’m not sad he is not in the HOF.
Let’s remember Dikembe who actually did good in the world as a humanitarian.
I agree. The way he played made me love baseballWith all said about him over the years, he still was one of the hardest playing players in his day, and probably compared to players today also. Most hits ever, 4,256.
Rest in peace, Pete.

Me as well. At that point it was nothing more than and exhibition game with nothing tied to the outcome like today. Yet he played it like it was the 7th game of the world seriesA talented guy who used poor judgement frequently in his life. To be honest, I am more bothered by him deciding to plow into Ray Fosse during the 1970 All Star Game than any of his other transgressions later in his career.
